Cheers KFC. A wake up call maybe, i'm still drinking Cranberry Juice if that counts for anything ;P.

All last week I had been feeling rather unwell. I was urinating like a fountain statute and my stomach would often enjoyed imitating the sound of a distressed heard of cattle, highly unpleasant I must confess. The Friday previously I had been on what we like to refer to as a 'Bender', starting from about 6pm right through until 8am the foll
I loved the whole 'Island Heat' theory, saying that weather stations located in cities were the cause of our instruments reporting global warming. It's ridiculous notions such as this that are leveraging the arguement against cutting emissions, when in essence these are simply misinformed trumpet blowers wanting to make a name for themselves.
I think i left part of my soul behind in the last tech support job i did. *Shudders*.
Just stop reading them if your not interested in them? I'm not a man of religion, but anyone can post what they want, as much as they want (well within reason). So sorry mate, you just gotta deal with it.
I think we only have to observe the circus that is the Anglican Churches discussion over women and gay bishops to see just how out of touch religion is with our society. It having any involvement in the education of children in the public sector would be nothing short of a disaster. I studied religious education here in the UK while at school, i think a significant proportion of it had to be about christianity, but it did include other religions. It was rather interesting subject and o
Hot water, i recently met an Italian Exchange student...:d *Wakes up*
So from my understanding, Republican prefer to tax less, which means the middle class house hold does great as they are generally the ones that get taxed the most (proportional to their income). On the other hand the poor more social dependant class suffer as there is less goverment money. The democrats on the other hand prefer to tax more, meaning the middle class take the biggest hit, while providing more money for the poorer classes. In all of this big corporate bui
More beer.
Dr.Guy just quickly, i haven't had time to answer fully to either yourself or Nitro, but the tax excludes cars from 2001, presumably for the very reason you described. There's still points you raise, i'll get to those when i get back after the weekend.
I'm curious, what made the change? I don't think there's a huge diff between the two but at least a Deist has some concept of God. I think being an agnostic is more truthful than saying one is an atheist.
I think possibly during my time at university and the discussion i had once on String Theory, it just left me with the impression that we may be looking at all this the wrong way. I don't think that was the exact momment, but it probably started the ball rollin
I think your slightly confused here Dr Guy, we are saying tax anyone (apart from large families, as they need large cars) who has a car that uses a lot of gas. The poor will not buy the middle classes gas-guzzlers as they too are looking to avoid paying extra tax, also no subidee will be provided for anyone looking to purchase a non-fuel economic car. So the gas-guzzlers that are looking to be sold won't be snapped up by the poor, because they will be taxed and receive no help f
Charles, i think it only applies to vehicles that by design consume a lot of gas. Wahine, i take your point, here in the UK most normal cars fit 5 (2 in the front, 3 in the back), yet the same question could be raised with regards to families of 6 (mine for example). Well in that case i think perhaps either a tax exemption (for families over a particular amount, on one car) or some sort of alternative option, most people carriers and SUV's are gas heavy, so until that alternative is fo
I have to say after GalCiv 2 i think i've gone on to buy games simply because of their assocation with Stardock (case and point Sins of a Solar Empire). I'd love for you guys to take a crack at something like Civilization or Supreme Ruler 2020 (that game is far too messy for me, the combat just doesn't seem to make sense). I know you already have GalCiv2, but some sort of real world rendition would be rather interesting.
Maybe to expand on that further shall, use the extra revenue gained from the tax to help lower income families purchase a new, more enviromentally/economically friendly vehicle?
If you check the article link for this article you will see that currently in the UK we are having a somewhat heated altercation over the issue of a new government bill that is being passed that will specifically target vehicles that use a lot of petrol (or gas) per mile. The idea behind this is to discourage the use of these vehicles and further more the
Certainly there is something to be said, even from someone who does not practice any particular religion, for spending moments in thought and contemplation. Whether this is spiritual or not, I’m not sure, but in such activities as meditation, I can relate to experiencing something that could only be described as so. It is my sub consciousn
Oh and i almost forgot to add, i was just contemplating doing the same with regards to Civ4, i always get the urge every now and again :-P. I got Twilight of Anor the other week actually, but hmm i dunno, i think i'm off Gal Civ for a bit.
Well at least you guys actually get a summer, so far its been rain, more rain a hint of sun, storms and then rounded off with some mellow rain. I've not had much chance for playing games recently, but i've been playing Age of Conan and Eve Online, i went back to Eve for the new Emperyean Age, and while its refreshing to PvP with all the newbs (me being a newb myself again now i guess), the game still suffers from horrdenous lag. AoC isn't finished, theres no end game content, so
Their problem is that Islam has traditionally acknowledged that the Jewish temple stood there. The temple has significance in Islam too, obviously, but its significance is due to it being the temple the Jews built. It is very difficult to deal with those facts and remain an Arab nationalist. Hence better not talk about it.
Exaclty the issue with religion, such debates just hit a brick wall as soon as you bring up god's word or will. Naturally that
The people that i've seen discussing the issue tend to be religious scholars, so i'll assume at this point that they are educated.
Sir, I must take issue with you here. First America is different from the UK in many ways. The most important is that America is a republic not a democracy, wait you have a representative government as well don’t you? One of your ministers is a former customer of mine. I sold him a house in Florida. We had some great discussions on the differences between our two countries. Grant it I have only spoken to one MP but he seemed good enough for a Tory. Hoped I spelled that correctly.
Many people are confusing Islam with secular terrorists (like the PLO), secular nationalists (like Nasser and Saddam Hussein), and fanatical heretical sects (like the Wahabis or the followers of Khomeini
Usually that is the only side of Islam they get to seem, the author does raise some interesting issues however, ones that i feel affect then majority of modern religions. <span style="font-
I think Cikomry hit the nail on the head when he said the problem was not the mans sexual orientation, but his unwillingness to disclose it. It's similar to people with financial difficulty working in certain areas of the MoD or Goverment, they are considered more subseptable to bribery and so on. Ultimatley however as attitudes towards homosexuality change, which they are, then so must public procedure change as well. We entered a pardigm shift towards a more liberal view on se
