It would be cool. Imagine a Vasari SB tractoring strike craft and ships into its maw Vasari fleet commander says " SB we need you over here " Vasari SB says " be right there, soon as I've finished lunch! om nyom nyom! " Tee Hee hee! But seriously, whilst it would be cool to see, I think its getting a bit late in the beta to start implementing stuff like that. IMO the game is pretty well balanced right now. As mentioned above there are things at your d

I also would like to see torp cruisers supply points increased. At the moment with the build time of SB's in enemy GW's its very difficult to use SB's as an offencive weapon. Which for Vasari at least leaves them really quite limited as far as anti structure goes, in offence. Now, you may argue that Vasari have other advantages with thier SB and I agree, they do. Maybee, all in all it does balance out with them having this limitation. But I still think the supply points n
Some people have mentioned they'd like to see SB's have 10 upgrades. Maybee doing this for that extra 2 could be good. Then again they are pretty well balanced now IMO.
i think i remember hearing that the price of starbases would be changed as the beta finalized
I pretty sure they have upped the price of the final upgrades on some of the upgrades, armour, strick craft and a few other race specific upgrades. An extra 50% I beleive. IMO there may be justification for small increases in cost to some of the other upgades, meteor shower of the Advent SB comes to mind. But I think the construction costs and the costs of&nbs
I think you can do this with galaxy forge. It's been a while since I've mucked around with it (been doing beta testing) but from memory was able to edit player 0, player 1, player 2 and so on to a specific planet. Have a muck around with editing the planet templates by double right clicking on the planets in the forge. Also the galaxy templates in the edit tab at the top left corner of the forge screen. You can also edit existing maps through the file tab then press open. Shou
Yes your probably right, now that I read it like that.
One thing I have been wondering, if ships use antimatter when traveling through phase space, how can they even jump if they've copped a full loss of antimatter from a SB?
Well I think it does'nt stack to 120% at least, I have still had ships get through. It's a good question though, as to whether it does stack at all. I'll try to see what a ships hull points are right before it jumps and then again when it comes out. This should give us an idea. Could take awile though, not many get through at the moment, at least to a system that I own, and the AI don't seem to keen on building any SB'S in a star's GW. OK! just followed a Tec. SB
i tried notepad and it made no sense to me. Use the reference files from the Forge Tools.
Has the reference files been updated to include SB's files? Or do you have to convert from binary somehow?
Try the Galaxy Forge. Its located under "downloads" on this sites home page.
Ok! will do. thanks for the info.
Yes thankyou "dchan1936" has already pointed me to this. I understand what it does now.
yes there were 4 to planets, and 3 other star systems on the map. have you been able to build more?
I do expiriance stop /starting at the begining of games and at the begining of loading a saved game more so, but after a few mins. everything clears up. Could it be that I have it set to high? I have it set 2 samples. Or could this be because of memory? It seems as though its still loading when the HUD first comes up on the screen. I also rarely expiriance crashes, which I thought graphics was the main cause of.
Yes I agree any more than 4 would just be to many. Likewise I hope its not an oversite. I'm going to now try and see just how many it is possible to build there. Ok just tried to build a 5th, but it wouldn't let me. Looks like 4 is the max. This is good [e digicons]:)[/e] Yaay!
I didn't know you could put any more than 1 SB in a stars well. In fact I've never tried. You mentioned that there wasn't enough space to get 2 in a planets well, well I'm sure your not supposed to. Only 1 per faction per gravity well. I thought stars were the same. I'm going to go try this now! Yep! your right ! thanks for pointing this out.[e digicons][/e] It certainly makes for deffending a star system alot more powerful, maybee to powerful. Not only does a
Ok! so the more samples the better the picture. I think I get the picture. I think. Anyways, thank you kindly for taking the time to answer my question.[e digicons][/e]
I've had look through the forums freakwently asked questions and techniqual questions and such, but can't seem to find any info on this. Can someone please enlighten me. What does this do. And whats the diff. between ;none options. &
Reaserching specific terran or desert will give you an ability to increase the max population you can have on those planets, the bigger your pop the more tax income you recieve. Also as Mathew the Mage mentioned you buy/build infrastructure using the planet upgrade button located on the bottom right hand side of the heads up display, once you have clicked on a planet. Its the green one with longnitudinal/latitudinal lines on it. After clicking this, click the button wuth the half man(
There has been a problem with the Solanus not firing at all after loading a saved game. It has been mentioned in a number of posts in the beta feedback forum, however I hav'nt seen anything from the Dev's regarding this.
First off I'd like to say there are some great ideas here that I agree would be exellent additions to the game in future expansions. Anyway I'm going to try and stick to what this post was intending to. I would also like to see a "NATO type" alliance set up as a few people have mentioned before. Perhaps there could be multiple alliances with different mandates in games with lots of opponants. One alliance could sway towards TEC thinking, one towarsds Vasari and one towards Advent. Eac
The AI did not seem to take advantage of the Special space planet/asteroid/nebulas though. I parked a starbase at the sun and it literally changed the war on one game, several usually unused areas became great chokepoints with a starbase sitting there.
I have noticed this also, and agree SB's being able to do this is good thing. They can increase your income from trade to if you add the upgrade that is. Does the AI use these special space's to build SB's in when
Ok! thanks for your help guys. Sorry I took so long to reply, for some reason I thought I put this post in the modding section. Sometimes I think I'd lose my head if was'nt screwed on. CursedSpirit. Yes you are correct thats similar to what I did. I was trying to have 2 systems raduis intersect slitely to more or less make a large binnary system. It worked fine for some other systems I tried to do this to but I must have dragged a planet from 1 to the other. spiralblitz. By [a
I have to agree with Starhound about the Advent mines. I have just played a game as Advent against a meduim Advent AI. After setting 4 sets of mines in 1 system and a few others in other systems I gave up making mines, I found having the extra fighter was of more benifit, and the AI must of as well. I only ever saw about 4 sets of mines trailing behind thier drone hosts and most of them were never deployed against me. Part of the reason I did this was because after I expanded into mor
Yeah! There was no mention in the change log that they had fixed it. 2.5 is balance and optimising improvements mainly. I have submited a post on this also and so have others. I'm sure IC must know of this.
