Hey, that looks like a nifty browser. I'm gonna have to download that and to hell with IE.

Damn, I still can't find it. I searched for *.bmp and couldn't find it. moshi, I read part of that stuff you linked and noticed that to change that I have to fool around with the Windows registry, and I really don't wanna go there yet. Isn't there an easier way?
Oh, it's a .bmp file? No wonder I couldn't find it.
Ok, I found how to uninstall Windows components (I uninstalled Outlook Express, since I have never, EVER, used it), but Notepad wasn't there. I'll guess I'll have to conform with deleting the shortcut.
I have a couple of questions and I want to know if you guys can help me solve them: 1. I wanna get rid of Notepad. I really do. I don't want that in my computer. I really don't. I already have kewlpÄd, Notetab, and Metapad, so I really have no need for Notepad now. I wanna get it out of my computer. OUT! Now, I did a search in my PC for "notepad" and got the following files: notepad.chm, notepad.cnt, notepad.exe, notepad.hlp, notepad.lgc, and notepad.stb. I really don't wanna screw thin
I got a message when I turned on my computer yesterday, something about the computer running a shell yadda yadda yadda...I don't really pay much attention to that. Well, it said that if I didn't want to receive that message, I should type SLNoShellWarning into the step.rc. Now, my question is, where should I put this message in the step.rc? Is it the LiteStep step.rc or the theme step.rc?
Nice going telling people how to get a free copy of software, man. >
Heh. That was easy. Thanks a bunch.
These two don't get together, am I right? I just installed kewlpAd and I had Windowblinds installed, and to my surprise, when I opened kewlpAd, a Windowblind window appeared under kewlpAd, but I could move both things as separate objects. How can I do so that Windowblinds won't work on kewlpAd?
Oh. So, let me rephrase. Where can I get the MOST STABLE LiteStep build? And how about a big LiteStep logo? I want to make a startup/shutdown LS screen, but I can only find a small LiteStep icon, and I want a big one.
As far as I understand, Object Desktop will change the view of your GUI, but it will still retain the Windows look, while LiteStep makes your GUI look sorta like Linux.
I found the .dll files I need, but where in that page is the latest LS build? There's WAY too much stuff in there.
Yeah. Besides, you CAN burn your downloaded stuff in a CD, you know. Download is faster AND better.
As the message says, where can I get the latest Litestep build? I'm guessing www.litestep.com, but thing is, I downloaded Litestep from there and installed it, and it still won't run some Litestep installations for me. Also, where can I get rainmeter.dll and the other .dll files I need?
Thanks a lot
I downloaded the finder.zip file you said and it is great. Faster, at least, than the Windows finder. Now, a quick question: how can I put a shortcut to it in my taskbar?
I should have said this before, but I'm a new user to Litestep. I've had it only two weeks or so, and haven't been able to fool around with it much. Thing is, I don't really know what a !bang command is or does or how to install it and stuff. Could you explain just a bit? And thanks for answering.
I'm using the Simplicity theme for Litestep, and I want to know how I can access the "Search" program? You know, the one on the Start bar? The one that lets you find files on your computer? Yeah, that one. How can I access it, and how can I make a shortcut for it in my menus or taskbar?
I know that in Win98 logos.sys and logow.sys are the two shutdown screens, but how can I change the startup screen? How must I name my .bmp file for it to appear as the startup screen? Anyone know?
Oh, ok. I didn't know that. Well, I guess I'm gonna have to buy the program, then. Thanks a lot for the info, Neil.
I forgot to mention that I'm using WindowBlinds on a Win98 computer. I'm using it with Litestep too. Oh, and another thing I just noticed...the scrolling bars are the same scrolling bars from Windows 98, not the WindowBlinds bars. Again, how can I fix this?
I installed WindowBlinds today, and it was working beautifully. I installed the Olympics OS blind and I really liked it. Until the cute blue borders from the drop down menus dissapeared. Now I have the lame-o Windows drop down menu I always had. What do I have to do to get fix this problem? I already entered in the Skin tab and selected Menu Borders but nothing. Can anyone help?
