Thanks all. Currently going with this . If my cash actually comes through today. Corsair, 600 watt, (Well over what I my system will draw, and if I upgrade beyond that I'll be buying a whole new system.) 80+, and a grand total of ~$45. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

My old PSU is a bit weak at a mere 375 watts. Need a new one around 500-600, but I don't know which brands are reliable. Any suggestions on who to look at? (I'm short on cash, so I'm hoping someone recommends one that's cheap. [e digicons]:P[/e] ) [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

Scale, complexity, and pacing are all much closer to that of 4X than most real-time strategy games. LF are good against carriers, support cruisers, and flak frigates, iirc. However, they're countered hard by the LRF and not nearly as good for killing capitals. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

Whoa, that's a... big gun : Build a superweapon. Kool-Aid Man's Descendants : Send a fleet to a hostile gravity well via the Kostura Cannon. Magic Mechanics : Win with a ship having taken over five times it's health in damage. Dwarven Fortress : Have a planet without the starbase ownership upgrade take over 10,000 damage without losing it. Not so tough now, are ya? : Kil

1. No idea what you mean. Posted while I was typing. That upgrade adds an ability, but it's not passive. You have to activate it and it stays on for a short while. 2. Screenshot? Caps do repel culture a bit, but it's kinda sounding like it was abnormally fast. 3. Diplomacy expansion adds Cruel and Vicious AIs. Not all that much smarter, but a lot more resources to work with. You'll see bigger fleets from them.
