Ok tried it by pairing the 150 crusaders up with 3 motherships. (lvl 4 up). I'd have to say i saw a bit of improvement but overall the ability seems useless.
Thats wierd. It must of got changed in a patch.
JuleTron
Use the ability with the Mothership's Malice. It makes Ruthlessness much deadlier.
This new 'race' that you have come up with could be what is chasing the vasari . . . I would also like to see the race that invented Phase Jump Inhibitors. According to the manual, the Vasari found them and stole them and the TEC stole them from the Vasari and the Advent got them from the TEC. I wonder who built them. Maybe an ancient race with the best technology.
I think a better fix to this problem would be to just have it so auxilarry government can stop the bombing at 1hp so you can keep upgrades and not have to re-colonise. Thats what I thought it did when it said "prevents loss of controll of the planet due to bombing" guess what? I lost contoll, it's just the enemy cannot gain controll, at least change the deceptive description lol I like that idea. the planet won't give you any tax income, but the upgrades aren't lost an
You should build the Akkan for its colonization ability (it is superior to having a colony frig running around). Other than that, capships aren't worth it.
That is totally wrong. Capships can turn the tide of battle with their abilites.
Why not just scuttle the starbase and build a new one? the difference seems minimal, and if you are tearing out all of the upgrades and starting from scratch you may as well (as construction workers know, it is always much cheaper to build from scratch than to rennovate the entire complex) -- maybe this brings us full circle to the logic behind not being able to refurbish a base? ... just a thought.
If you did that, then you would need to build another constr
SBs are very good imo. They need a few tweaks though. The Transcencia should get a Psionic Pull ability to pull enemy units towards it so that they are within range of its guns. Other SBs could get similiar abilities. In Sins Entrenchment, the frontlines of battle change. If you give a SB max health and weapon upgrades on one of your border planets, that SB is only useful as long as that planet is one the border of your empire. If you capture a few more planets, that SB make n
I don't play as TEC, but military-wise it is best to upgrade hull-point upgrades first and weapon upgrades later. Get hoshikoes too. They will greatly increase the survivibility of your fleet.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled SINS and Entrenchment too many times to count and there is still a blackscreen when I get into the game. I simply minimise the game window by pressing the windows button and get back into it. Then it works fine.
all of this begs the question though: if you have enough fighter escorts to keep heavies alive against enemy bombers, why did you build the heavies instead of just adding some bomber squads?
Because bombers only counter very heavy armour. HCs counter almost everything.
A friend of mine who plays Advent was using the Deliverence and he said that it wiped out all the population on enemy planets. Is this a bug?
I largely agree with what you saying. &nbs
I'll use the wormholes then I think!!! Will be MUCH safer!!!
On the subject of wormholes, since vasari SBs can move, can they go through wormholes?
My searches on the web found A-10 kills for helicopters, and aircraft on the ground, but no air-to-air kills. so the "hog" isn't applicable as a fighter in this discussion, it would be more along the lines of the bombers that are blowing the bejeezus out of our cap ships.
Oh, you were talking about fighters . . . I thought you were talking about guns on aircraft in general.
If dead riods have NO logistics points how do you get to build ANYTHING around its orbit?
TEC's upgrade Development mandate gives all planets extra logistic slots including dead roids so you can build tradeports there. Defensive structures do not take up logistical slots. They take up tactical slots. Dead roids have tactical slots.
I like this idea
The thing that annoys me is that front lines of battle shift over the course of a game. If you build a SB at an enemy planet and give it combat abilites and then capture that planet and 2 more, then that SB is now useless. You should be able to "reconfigure" SBs so that if a SB was once on the front lines but is now deep in your territory, you can remove all upgrades to free up slots and then re-upgrade it the way you want.
I find this to be strange too. I think SBs should stop enemy culture at twice the rate of a capship. Vasari Sb should also be effected by the Shock and Awe upgrade.
To beat carries you need 1 flak per squadron. Light frigates with their anti-support ability are also important. Makes it harder for enemy strikecraft to be replaced. I'm not calling you a liar, but I'd like to see this done in practice, not just theorized about. No amount of flak or light frigs would have helped this guy this game. His fleet evaporated instantaneously. Again though, I can't stress this enough: I don't know what to recommend. I don't want carriers overn
Actually, flak does not suck as much people think. To beat carries you need 1 flak per squadron. Light frigates with their anti-support ability are also important. Makes it harder for enemy strikecraft to be replaced.
I'm a Vasario player too, and you will find that they have great firepower and mobility, but are more challenging then the TEC. Early Game Don't expand too fast and don't do too much research. It makes you vulnerable to attack and can kill your economy. Upgrade planet infrastructure as soon as you capture a planet. When you start the game, make 2 or 3 scouts, buy 100 crystal and build a capital ship factory. Make a coloniser capital (jarrusul evacuator, better known as
It depends on which race you are playing as. Vasari should not look for a fight mid-game, the other races should. It also depends on your strategy. You can either expand, focus on your economy or build up your fleet. If you are getting attacked, build counters to their fleet. Don't expand to much or you will lose alot of money. If you take 1 enemy planet, you will boost your economy, military and research capacity and hurt theirs. Start getting carriers. Hope this helps.
I suggest that you should not play against Advent or Vasari AI. Only play against TEC because they don't spam mines.
