I don't play Sins all that often (I'm at college, and I have a mac here, so I can't play it), but in the TEC game I have saved at home, I recently started using percherons. How important should those be to my fleet? The focus for me has been on capital ships, and my frigates (other than Hoshikos) have been treated as little more than a screen to preserve my capital ships. The
Well than order up for me! I need this like I need to breathe
Well if u think of it as legitimately cheating then how about industrial juggernaut and pervasive econ from the TEC, reduced ship build time and money back on every purchase you make thats hard rape endgame especially when u have 3 frig factories in 1 grave well.
Kostura. I never used RA personally, it took too long to set it up. Phase Gates are a god send though. The ability to go anywhere from anywhere is so incredibly use
Have you tried HOSHINKO(TM)? TEC doesnt suck, but its not the quality of their units that makes them strong. Its the quantity. Research Industrial Juggernaught and Pervasive Economy. You will be able to churn out ships by the assload

With Entrenchment looming on the horizon, do you think there will be new weapons or effects that will need to be modded? I hope bailknight comes back soon to keep the mod alive.

Except maybe teh Halycon carrier. I liked the Vasari names more than the current ones though
Vasari own. The only thing that can beat a Vasari fleet is the Advent battle ball (Masses of Guardians spamming Telekenic Push). A shot from a Kostura will shut them down long enough for your phase missiles to destroy them though, provided you have one and are fighting around an enemy planet
genrally a combat cap - Kol, Radiance, Kortul - is the best kind to bring, along with light frigates and maybe a few HCs
Radiance doesnt have any anti-strike craft abilities. If you're Advent and want an anti-strikecraft cap, get the Halycon.
yeah I like the shorter format. It means you can update more lol. Good stuff so far
OK, so I cant think of a name. Comment on what I have here, anything helpful will be greatly appreciated _________________________________________________________________________________ “Massive phase out detected, Overlord! They’re back for more.” <p clas
Like in World in Conflict when you zoomed up to your units you could hear them talking to eachother (Or in combat yelling at eachother). That was a genious piece of immersion right there.
Should run just fine. I have 1.66GHz, 2gigs, XP, and an x1400 video card and it runs pretty well except for when things get big
As long as we're talking annoyances, the stacking bug needs to get fiexed sometime soon.

Even planets being "attacked" by 6 of my culture centers only display an allegiance change of -0.03 at most, with only 1 enemy culture center on that planet and maybe 1-2 more on planets connected to it. If the enemy has cap's at that world it will be very hard to *take it over*. But tbh you may be right, culture mecanics either need an overhaul or someone needs to explain whay 99% of us are
The AI is biased against the player. I learned this the other day when 5 hard AI's attacked simultaniously. They make alliances with eachother even at 0% happiness.

I'm not sure multiple towers will actually enhance the distance unchallenged culture travels though. Population might h

I think this torpedo ship has to fire usual missiles which can crack a starbase pretty fast (mayby 10-20 shots). You would have to station a small intercept force near the starbase, or place the starbase so that it can attack ships at the gravwells edge. Um, if I remember correctly, it was stated that Starbases can fire anywhere with a planets
Technically yes, but you COULD put a phase line that passes through a planet. I dont know what happens if you used it in game, but I've accidentally made phase lines that go through planets befoer
Well if im not mistaken, Advent can get an extra 40% resource income from their Trade Ports when they use Resource Focus. I think its a fairly expensive tech to research though.
Fire all the weapons on one side of the base simultaneously, opposite the direction of the planet you would like the base to move to. Wait five years. Hmm, the phase lines are light gray, I suggest you adjust your gamma settings.
