They're like uglier than in the game!

I think using Impulse is a way to make sure that you paid for the game. Patches are for buyers. I agree, however. Starting it externally should do a patch check. Then if there's a patch, it can autostart impulse and start updating.
Right now for me the turnoff is poor netcode and no tournaments.
We've figured out that you get one connection attempt that has a chance to work, then you have to restart the game. After that you get loads of weird errors in the log. The hoster should do the same thing in between multiplayer games.
"The All-father rejected me." Now burn in righteous fire for eternity for mis-quoting the LORD!
I wasn't around for Beta 1, but I've played Beta 2 for a few days. Am I still allowed? I'm kinda depressed by how few people are playing the beta. I thought there would be a lot more.
´Nah, it's perfectly understandable since the netcode is so poor.
I just want BIGGER capital ships. Ships that don't have maybe ten guns on the port side, but ten thousand. Ships with shields so strong and armor so thick even nukes don't do the trick.I want to see people flying out of the ships when they're damaged! I want to choose exactly where my marines land, and it should affect what they see when they fight! And I am not talking about pre-rendered video clips and numbers showing you the result of a capture attempt, I am talking about ships with real 3
No download limit, no activation limit, no time until your download expires. I'm not even sure you have to activate the games, I think the impulse engine handles that automatically. When I get a new comp, I download impulse, log in and press download on my old games bought through impulse. Download is reasonably fast (500kb/s) and it extracts and installs automatically. It couldn't be smoother.
I always looked for a space sim game that would let me play a ship like the big ones found in battlefleet gothic. I think I will keep looking until the day I die. Homeworld with the mobile starting ship felt like half-way there.
It seems rather long... is this fanfiction or official?
Haha you just made me LOL ;)
Need more info! BRB popcorn. Seriously... what $15.00 ?

Well, if stuns are reduced in power, that solves that problem partially. I do see the problem, but I just haven't seen it play out like that yet in player games. Level 5 obviously is the "killer" level, teams who get there first are boosted significantly in power. But noone is unbeatable. Flags are extremely important, maybe they should be reduced in power somewhat. Also you should not be able to teleport to a flag you own imho. However, fighting over the flags early on gives
Personally I don't want to see anything like a system where the underdog is boosted in any way. You start out equal, the rest is skill. If anything, stuns are too long and too easy to chain.
Yes please, don't make us mod this.
Well, I watched the full game they posted over at starcraft2 between two players. "who cares" sums up exactly what I felt. Just remember Demigod is still in beta. ;) Edit: To be fair, so is starcraft2.
So if one side has the enemy flag and kills their demigods, it's game over? Sounds harsh.
People would just confuse it for skill. ;)
Yeah, but most cultures have some gods and heroes. What makes you think it's SPECIFICALLY ancient greece? Just sounds a bit far fetched. If I remember correctly, the demigods in greek mythology were mostly given that "title" because they had one mortal and one immortal parent (or a god otherwise helped out at conception). In this game, they are mortals who have grown so powerful through impossible deeds or misdeeds that they simply cannot be compared to other beings in this world (and when th
That "killing people in the shadows" is just one interpretation of the word. While it is the one most commonly used in the gaming world, it is also the one least used outside the world of gaming. Assassination can also mean to kill a person who is a public figure, or to kill for ideological causes. It suits fine, I don't think it needs a change. I don't quite see the connection with greek mythology, beyond the use of the word pantheon. Can you explain further?
Even if its a beta, stuff like this should be brought up. Otherwise sometimes obvious stuff gets passed on. I would very much like to see the chat screen be on the same page as the "you can join these games" list. In some games, you can't see the chat while you're browsing a game. I hated that in SINS and I hated it in Starcraft and I hated it in Warcraft3 and I hated it in most games actually. Oh and while we're asking for a chat system, can we have it so you send the previous 10-15
The main story was well-done but far too short. The optional content was much richer in amounts, but completely generic. The entire game felt like a set-up for sequals.
I also think that the bases seem somewhat close to each other on some maps in particular. Sometimes it is way too easy to escape just by running into your own base. Prison is a good map with neutral space. Leviathan has alright space. The last one (can't remember name right now, last map in beta 2, 5v5) has almost no such space at the start of the map.
I've been playing some games without fog of war, spawn rate, war increase rate, gold income rate, experience rate and gold at start all set to the fastest / biggest. Games quickly explode into those crazy fights where you can't really see anything. A full game takes about 15 minutes.
