Maybe Impulse should be updated to be timed with the amount of traffic a server is receiving (Like warning a user that there may be errors with downloading if the server is using a lot of proc power or simply just traffic) But I downloaded without a hitch :) Waiting for update to fix the Fighter-Bomber problem. bet it could be fixed within an hour if a dev focused solely on that error ;)

DT could own you guys.
I really think that Alastair Reynolds needs more air time than we give him. His Book Revelation Space has got to be one of the greatest Sci-Fi books i've read since Ender's Game and War of the Worlds. (storyline wise. there are people who could write better about the exact same storyline and character actions)
Kraashar I agree. Once we did a comp stomp and a ton of players whined that the ai would be too easy to beat- Boy, were they wrong, turns out the players that didn't want the ai most were beaten easiest. The ai won of course, due to players leaving, etc but I still thought it was good. A more adaptive ai would be great- like if it notices that LRMs are being spammed the ai starts making the counters for that spam, etc. And if everyone is against the ai, the a
For some reason I think that the plotline goes like this, and poo on me for taking it seriously: TEC > Desert Planet > Finds Vasari > TEC, initially losing the battle, gets stronger, managing to exile the populace of Vasari. (Remember Vasari are slave owners) So for several thousand years pass, with the TEC after the Vasari who are on a run for their lives. The Vasari call back their Fleets on the front, which get the crap pounded out of them by the TEC. TEC send first g
It migrates great.
So really, hold off a bit on attacking Mac users as crazed zealots, especially when you have a blind following yourself. I can't be the only Mac user you have as a customer, trying to make his time spent on Windows more comfortable.Burn the Heretic!Oh wait, I am not a Mac or PC zealot. Damn.
LINUX FTW!!!!!
Like if a planet is connected to a home world, the allegiance can't get higher than if it didn't have a phase stabilizer? This doesn't seem too impossible when you mention it. What would need to be done? -Given I understand the question-
too many people on it and complaining I'll bet. -Put me in there, I want to beta-test this mod!
Technically, light frigates are the best counter, but with carrier cruisers as tough as they are now, your light frigs will not survive long enough in an environment littered with LRFs to do any appreciable damage. I'm concerned that carrier spam might end up being a winning strat for this reason. So carrier spam might be a winning strat because LRMs can take down light frigates quickly? LOL
I think he means the combination of those light cruisers.
As well as you are unable to move around the camera.
*Here we go again* First off, I would like to state that I quoted you without changing any wording in your post. -Quote, post #26 by GrooveMan23- I would like to point out that I think its nice that you convieniently changed around what I said, and although some of the things I stated sound rather stupid, I just think its funny. Not to mention you did not even read what I wrote about 9/11. -BREAK- I read it. And yes, I did read your entire post about using 9/11
Just to add my two cents, which used to be a dollar(thanks to Stephen Colbert for that one): In my personal opinion, the reason these political threads sometimes (if not always) get out of hand is because someone with slightly or fully Conservative views have to come in and muck it up (and yes, I do realize that in me saying that, anyone who is a Conservative in America is going to flip out and bite my head off). -BREAK- On the contraire my friend. What if I made a post ab
This and 2K's Bioshock forums are the friendliest, most mature, and most helpful I've seen.EA's C&C forums were a frikin mess. Heavenly Sword's weren't much better.
AGREED. The debate over BioWare's EULA on bioshock was pretty fun to watch though
Reply #142 .....is because we tax, at most, about 40% of a worker's income. And you can blame liberals for that.
33% I believe is the Cap on Income tax
I agree with Squiggle. I don't want this to be a kept bug.
I confirm bug.
OFF TOPIC! Anyways, I liked Gremlins. And the Balrog. And..... a bunch of other stuff lol.
"Nothing on earth is forcing you to install the beta versions. It can get rough on the bleeding edge. " -- Kris Kwilas, 'Essays on Mind and Matter' Whilst this is very true, the problem is that it is the delivery mechanism that is going wrong - Impulse - and Impulse is not a beta version. We haven't even got the Beta version of SINs yet.
Well, yeah, we have. If you are talking about SOASE and not SINS that other pc game.
I shall have to test this crazy contraption with bad messages! (btw we had some convos on xfire a while ago too but were unable to go anywhere)
Alloy, when turned on says "IP not visible" what does this have to do with? Supposedly this works without Portforwarding so I am guessing it's NAT? In my router I haven't stopped the portforwarding of ports 6000 and 6112.(TCP) But even then I couldn't host without going DMZ so i don't know what to do.
On the contrary. If you manage to beat down an opponent but don't finish him off properly only to find him rebuilding and striking back - you deserve to lose. And yes, it simply makes more sense not to pay for something you don't use. If your empire shrinks and your fleet gets cut down in half so should the costs.
Exactly!
This isn't elitism as frankly I'm not very good at the game, but otherwise, what's the point to playing if you can go on i
Those are some good debates but it would make much, much more sense for upkeep not to go with the research, but with what size your fleet really is. I'm fine with the research part but it would be a much better design for the upkeep of your fleet to go down as you lose ships. This would bring into play a possibly very interesting bounceback feature that this game desperately needs to maintain even a fraction of realism. Space Military tactics wont base their victory or loss on just one
