Problem is people leave when not teamed with friends.
The thig is, they are working on new game right now, called Elemental. Demigod isn't their priority, beside game is becoming older and older. That's the ordinary course of events.
We get less journals because SD is working on elemental, but content is provided by GPG who is working on Supreme Commander 2. Plus we get more contact than I have ever seen with any other game.

Looking through the logs from the new "business class modem", i found something interesting. Today at 9:14, I was disconnected from a game. This is what the logs show (ip sensored by me): Network Log: (6/27/09 09:14:16) Send Release (6/27/09 09:14:29) Send Discover (6/27/09 09:14:38) Send Discover (6/27/09 09:14:38) Receive Offer from 1x.2xx.1xx.x (6/27/09 09:14:38) Send Request, Request ip = 7x.2xx.2xx8.5x (6/27/09 09:14:38) Receive Ack<
I desperately need the disconnect timer back to 30secs. I have tried everything, but after changing out the liineds for the block and everything time warner still can't find the cause of drops during DG, L4D, or Hulu. I drop for exactly 21 secs as the modem power adjusts the signal, so the old 30 sec timer would keep games intact and teams even. Can we also fix it so we don't have the weekend server issues (slowdowns and crashes).</s
Make it so your minions actually attack what you click so people will like generals and use minions.
They are better in v1.1, but still need a serious buff.
We have written this a thousand plus times. See this mock up I made back during the final beta HERE.
1. Depends on how you look at it. Games are all vastly different based on what your team and the opposing team do. But the game itself doesnot completely change. If you like the challenge of team sports or online gaming then this title is great. 2. 6 to 75 minutes. If they suck it can be over quick, but if it is very even it can take a while. Average game length is 25-40 minutes. 3. Most of the time people are great to non responsive.&
It sounded to me a firewall problem. But could be something bigger if you've swapped router.
Trust me, it is the modem itself "power adjusting". The issue is not the specific modem but rather their line or blade under "high load", which apparently demigod and hulu qualify for. After hours, it looks like there is no fix short of moving or switching to dsl which is vastly inferior for twice the price).
yeah, i should have been more specific about the issue. regarding chip size. I thought both ATI and nvidia are using the 40nm manufacturing process for their gpu's. I follow ATI products more closely since im running a 4870 atm and i prefer intel mobo chipsets over nvidia's so SLI was out of the question with my current mobo (x48 chipset). regardless of manufacturing issues for either side, what do u think about the actual specs for the upcoming ca
BUMP, please look at this, they have tried rewiring my street and gave me a "business class" modem/router. I still have disconnects, a simple return to 30secs would be a major help.
Well known they are both having problems with 40nm yields at the foundy (TSMC, I think). Thing is NVIDIA's chip is larger and they pay per silicon, whil ati have smaller chips and they pay per working chip.
/signed and fully supported, please fix this!!!
Also put a tag in your custom games so people know you are a team.
Have you tried the /serverproxyonly command? I may be wrong, but I figured that would greatly reduce upload requirements as you are uploading to one server and then the server distributes it too many people.
I like the idea of AI demigods that replace dropped players not providing gold/XP. Any opinions on that?
I think that giving full or zero gold is a joke, they usually suck but can occasionally be helpful. They should give zero base gold, but maintain the normal level gold. This would mean if it was early game, they would likely add little to nothing to your enemies coffers, but if someone drops l
