Vad_M My SleekSilva weather widget that you fixed works fine now. My question is: can I copy the code into all my other widgets that already posted and re-upload them to wincustomize? I ask this because I do want people to still be able to use my weather widgets, and also because I saw a post in the forum giving a solution without using a partner ID and license, so I do not know what to do. Hi, I submitted a wallpaper and it was accepted today. The problem is that when I follow the link they sent me, I see the wallpaper but if I go to the Wallpaper category, I don't see it anywher. thanks, i'll check it out. I have made one with the weather that slides up but the problem so far is that if you change the location, the new location name will stay visible on the target. it is no longer hidden like the the rest of the weather info.
Hi, I played around with RomanDA's turorial:hide and seek which makes an object slide up and down. I was able to add an analog clock to the mask so when the target object slides up it reveals the clock. I have been trying to add weather instead of a clock but i'm having trouble. Same problems trying to put a media player. Can anyone help me do this? Is there a tutorial somewhere to help me or I could send you the sliding widget I made. Once i have one that works, i'll be able to check how it

I tried the tutorials for hide/show, sliding up, shrinking/expanding, i would like to integrate a calendar or analog clock,etc to the image that shrinks or slides up. anyone know how? thanks
I know what you mean about clicking somewhere on a blank area... but it still had a black contour. I also use png files. I did some playing around and the only thing i noticed is that if my image of the slider isn't cropped completely as to not show any transparent background in pain
ok the only thing i can't find for the volume slider is that it puts a black contour around the volume slider image. Please need help with this. thanks
well, I finally found it... you create a new object, add the dxplayer in the general tab (additional abilities), then use the configure tab, go to fader/slider options and choose Vol(sli). This is where you add your images (background and volume button). In the Dx configuration window, on the bottom there is a Images tab. Tried it and it works.There might be another way also but this is what i found so far. My problem was i was always adding my volume bar before as a new object.
I have tried searching on the site you mentioned, but i saw nothing to help me make a slider. So i'll keep searching and trying different things and check back here in hopes that someone can give me a hand. thank you.
Hi, i would like to create a volume bar (slider) for an mp3 widget. I tried checking one that has a volume bar in desktopx, but i am still not quite sure how to accomplish this. If anyone can help or tell me where to find a tutorial, it would be appreciated. thanks
Well i found the problem. It seems that one of the 3 widgets i sent her had a volume bar, she tried it and when closed it, the sound bar was at it's lowest position, so when she opened any other widget player, she had no sound. Once i re-opened the widget with the sound bar and put the volume up, everything worked fine. It seems like the widgets are like co-dependant or something. Anyways, thought i would let people know so if it happens to someone else, the answer is here. You learn
Hi, i sent a few mp3 player widgets (that I exported as gadgets)to my sister and they worked fine but now all of a sudden the sound doesn't work. Nothing is wrong with her computer. My friend is a technicien checked. If you open a song with Windows media player the sound if fine. Just no sound with any of the gadgets. They work fine on my side. Any help is appreciated. thanks
it was aeroblue weather. I asked the owner about it and he fixed it in the script so that it starts with my location. It works now. Thanks for asking.
Hi, I downloaded a weather widget and I put my location in, but when I close the widget and re-open it, the location is never saved. Is there a way to fix this? Maybe add something in the script? thanks for the help
Ok, the weird thing is that the second hand was pointing up at the 12 position. I tried many times but something just didn't work. So I did some searching and found an analog clock script and used that instead and it worked. Put this script into clock_face object and apply. Sub Object_on
ok, have a question again... why does clock seconds hand not always change time when it hits the 12 I just made a clock, added the face hour, mintues and seconds. Next i used the clock plugin starting with the hours (rotate as hours arm), then the minutes and finally the seconds. I watched the seconds hand go around and the time changed when the second hand hit the 2 instead of 12. I tried applying the plugin for the seconds a few different times and the seconds hand would still not
Hi Avman, thanks again for your help. It has helped me alot. I discovered desktopX not long ago but I am already hooked. I just love the widgets and the fact that we can design our own skins. hi again Avman, well i gave it a try and it worked pretty well. A few things i noticed. If the clock hands are black, then i do not see a change in hue color. I got the clock hands off the internet, so i will try to find some lighter colored ones. I haven't tried to make my own yet. The other thing I noticed is that when exported and I open it, the clock is black so I have to click the hue button to see the origal clock color, then it is fine. Maybe you could help me with this and als
