Most Arabs in 'East' Jerusalem really don't want to be a part of the PA. They want to be a part of Israel because they KNOW THEY HAVE IT BETTER. I lived on the Mt. of Olives and spoken to many people in 'East' Jerusalem. Thing is getting them to speak up. Most of them want to stay silent because they want to appear as if they support the PA due to the fact that they see them as brothers and sisters. What they know and see is that in the PA is chaos. Someone can

I don't agree with everything that is written in Tal's article. The thing that I don't agree with is non-gun related. Even if this issue offended me, I don't need to debate it. I am very confident in who I am. I have done research on what I know/believe. With the combination of the two I don't need to constantly to debate with someone every opportunity to show them how right I am and how wrong they are.
Yhea.. about the whole "Tyrants use gun laws to enforce authority" Yhea.. Kinda works, I think. I mean, Hitler set in place so many gun laws to restrict an.. oh, wait, he didn't. He actually liberalised guns in his country after the Weimer Republic. Anyway, probably a fluke. We all know that countries like France is such a Tyranny, eh? Or Brasil. Or Finland. or Mexico. Gosh, I did not knew that New-Zealand was a dictatorship. Or F
I don't understand why every one wants to call Israel "Palestine". The Romans are the ones that started that mockery and they called Israel just that 'Palestine'. Trying to force the allegance of the land to another lessor god. If you want to it could be called Canaanite. I am fine with calling it Israel. The other thing is that there ALWAYS have been a Jewish remanent in Israel. Most people that call themselves 'Palestinians' a high percentage of them
Does that mean you're going to smuggle me the kanafi recipe? :-)
Leauki, forgot the bananas! LOOK AT THAT KANAFI! Leauki, if you could smuggle out an authetic kanafi (sp?) recipe and not one from the internet. The place that is a little ways after the Damacus gate that sells it recipe. Actually on closer inspection I don't think that is Kanafi. I think the one picture has it only some what in it. You are right though after living there and from what I have seen.
That article on nuclear energy is very good. The two nuclear accidents weren't human error per say but humans ignore error signs. For Chernoble, the owner of the plant wasn't taking the necessary safety percautions and was just ignoring them to make more money. The writer of the nuclear article kind of hit on this with the electric cars---> I read some where (can't remember where) if the U.S. would have kept producing nuclear plants at the rate they were producing
As we speak, where I live we got 4-5 inches of snow in like 3 hrs! We are to get a total of 8 to 16 inches.
"This is data that has been collected since Galileo’s first records and drawings of sun spot activity. Most scientists agree with the findings that the mini medieval ice age was caused by solar activity. But the manmade climate change activist continue to ignore the model and data from the Astronomy Community which shows higher activity in warming periods and
Why is no other country giving as much as the U.S? I'm sure a lot of those countries could afford it (afford to give way more than they did at least). If the infrastructer does get rebuilt is it going to get rebuilt properly? I hope this doesn't turn into the stimulus fiasco or lines the pockets of the fat cats (example Arafat). For the PA situation, most of the population didn't get the money. Well, before 1993 (1995 is when it offically started) that is. Befor
I like how Katrina talks about taxing the wealthy. I wonder if that means she would be willing to take a tax hike? I think her grandparents were the founders of MCA and I believe her father was an abasssdor/attorney. I love how she talks about how the rich need to be pulling more weight! WHY DON'T YOU START PULLING YOUR WEIGHT YOU LEPTON! Does anyone know if she just talks the talk or does she actually walk it as well?
Ben Guirion Airport is a nice air port once you get past the secruity. Its a hot airport. When I was leaving Israel I was going back to the States in Feburary. This is a very cold month in the north. I made sure to get out my heavy jacket and just to be ready. I started sweating and the person asked me 'why are you sweating?' I was tempted to say something stupid but I just said 'Because I'm hot and my body is trying to cool itself down.' The person then sa
Tel Aviv airport is pretty strict and even to Jews! For I have first hand experience of this!
Dr. I haven't had time to check the links (will soon just not tonight). Is that where you got the figures for the money in your article? Again, I know a lot of money is going into AGW. Whenever science because politicalized that is when a monster is made.
Madcow and MSNBC ... I see the trolls have shown up to "associate" with people they despise again, but thanks ID for opening up your article to all comers, some would just allow their like minded friends to comment. BTW the "Shoe Bomber" Richard Reid, didn't have his father contact the state department and tell them he was in Al Quida, planning an attack, in advance. Opps she left that out (surprise). Thanks for the sp
I agree with AD about racial profiling. Don't get me wrong, I understand were everyone is thinking and that it is radical muslims so we should screen them, but Hitler started instituting laws against groups that people didn't trust, didn't like, or didn't care about. Once these laws were functioning he was able to institute similar laws against other groups
Art, I just want to say I agree with most of your points. There are a few things that I would like to point out. First:
I wonder how much oil the US military is "garrisoning" in Germany, Korea, Italy, and of course Afghanistan Well, actually in the case of Afghanistan a large portion of the U.S military deployments are located near the proposed route for the mother-of-all-pipelines that's going to theoretically ca
For Iraq, most people say that we fought the war for oil. Then what's this: http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1948787,00.html?cnn=yes I was surprised to find that article or see that article in times. As for the WMD, there are certain things that government and military organization would rather keep quiet. Just because the media sprouts off that we didn't find any
Dr. Guy! Wow! Its been like a year, is everything alright?
Its seems that your attitude is that we should be able to do just about whatever we want. In society that has an anything goes attitude it will eat itself.
For this you need not look beyond the Romans or the Greeks.
It goes along with the growing trend in the States to feel that your entitled to something for just existing. What exactly do you think do the people in the US think they are entitled to? Because that statement would sound sort of weird without context of this thread, and I am curious. I haven't really seen US exchange students in Freiburg acting so recklessly that they would be noticable. From what I read, Amanda Knox didn't party
I haven't been watching the case hardcore, but I feel that she did something wrong. Whether that is actually partaking in the crime or having knowledge that its going to take place. She comes from an upper-middle class family. Even though her parents are divorced they both are still well off. She probably thought she could get away with it or get a trial (I always want to put trail in place of trial for whatever reason, does this happen to anyone else? Not by typo th
The more I learn about this case, the more I feel that Knox has been wrongly convicted. I hope that Hillary Clinton or someone from our State Dept. voices concerns with the Italians over this flim flam of a trial. Thank goodness in America we have lots of rights that protect us against unlawful interrogations, and if we go before a jury the standard for guilt is "beyond any reasonable doubt." The evidence against Knox was all circumstant
As you have a two party system that roughly alternates between opposition and administration, you will always have people protesting and making allegations of corruption (might I discreetly point to GW Bush's connection to the oil industry? I am sure I could find lots of conspiracy theories just about that even if I just searched for 5 minutes, or people demonstrating against the Bush administration.. what you said was also mostly true for Bush).<b
What a special time! I would say congraduations, but I never understood why people say that for a birth. I think a better one would be Praise be to G-D. KFC I know you wanted a daughter but think of it this way your families legacy is going to be going on for some time. As for the name and waiting. Most religious jews will wait to tell everyone the name until after the brit milah (aka circumcision). Be Blessed! Are you going to stay up here in the north or go
