I haven't checked the players in your game stats yet, so take this with a grain of salt: I'm pretty sure that your stats go up when you beat a team of people who have a higher rank than you, and your stats CAN go down if you beat a team of people who are ranked (much?) lower than you. I noticed several games vs several top 10-20 people, with a couple of wins, made my stats jump up by 100 or so positions. Granted it didn't change my win%, but it sure repositioned

Though you are joking, this generalized build is right on the mark. Almost every DG I play, I'll focus on 2 abilities, saving points where required (lvl 3, lvl 7, lvl 9). BotF is great for all. SoR is probably best suited to regulus since he's ranged anyway. The only thing I'd argue is that BotS is great with 1 DG: TB. TBs with 7k hp and 2000 armor and no mana problems are simply a total PITA.

[quote who="Splitshadow" reply="27" id="2531784"]Snipe is basically useless in the standard 3v3 with 2 generals. The only thing you can do is finish off a fight from across the map and get a kill that would otherwise hot have succeeded. You can harass all you want, but regen and healing totally kill its usefulness. No one should go pure AA, you need mines and mark of the beast to do damage and slow them down. With blade of the serpent, you can spend money on health gear instead of buying 4 ha

You can max out AF, and put 1-2 points in EA, plus have 4 pts in both snipe and mines and 1 in mark by lvl 15. It's has the best of both worlds. Personally, I find mines/snipe/mark strongest, by a long shot. You can supplement with the favor or your choice (renewal imo is probably the strongest). I used to do AF reg. I found if you do AF, you rely on AA and it's AoE. Forget mines. Snipe is sometimes useful, so 1 pt there in it, but all the rest in to AF and attributes.

This happens with regulus and occulus as well. I suspect it happens with QoT. It happens when a target is in exactly the same position you are. As a ranged character you just need to move over. No one can actively move to your position anyway. If they tried, they'd end up clicking on your character to attack.

I forget scope too. You can push towers just fine with some creeps and a teammate. I've posted my build awhile ago now. At lvl 5 you can either get bug or mark, depending on the situation, but range is really not important. I didn't really specify that you don't have to sell the basic mana help once you get vlemish, but you pretty much end up doing just that. I also would recommend filling an unused equip slot with gauntlet

This is true. However, reg is usually with an ally, and you don't really know where he hid those mines. They could actually be laid on the other side of the map, where your teammates is fighting his. Also, you're not going to get the kill by standing back and chasing him with minotaurs. You can, however, save yourself from certain death via the wonderful 4050 nuke + snip

When lolkatz armor stack, they end up vulnerable to your ability using teammates. You can choose the counter the AA reg or a casting DG, but not both. AA reg seems to do best when he has some of the random damage items, like nature's reckoning and crit gloves. IMO, there is a place for AA reg, but he really needs a teammate to help him do well. He's too gold hungry for me tho. Casting reg is much cheaper on items for the damage you get.

MoB maxed slows 60%, and believe me, you do not go anywhere fast. I nail people with this, then mine them afterwards because they are going so slowly. Of course you c

This is a caster regulus. If you get mark at lvl 5 you have a snare with 400 dmg every 12s, in addition to a 500 dmg snipe every 9s, and 700 AoE damage with mines (which kills monks) every 6s - these are the cooldown times on cataract with the cooldown bonus flag and renewal as favor. So, level 5 reg can do about 1600 dmg in abilities, plus have another 1400 dmg in mines somewhere in the area to kite someone over. Plus he can blow away monks faster than they can be respawned.

Cind3rs, you might want to add this stuff to the list: - Communicate your gold from time to time, esp when war rank increases (eg "5k", "8k"). This helps your team organize around cit upgrades. - As soon as you are able, always, always, always carry tp scrolls. If your teammates are engaging, and there is a good chance of a kill, tp in. If you teammates are in trouble, tp in. - Pay attention when you tp. If the enemy leaves, and you're leaving a flag or

I don't think that stats actually determine your rank outright. I think GPG is using a method similar to SupCom: Initial rank is determined by stats, but gets refined by matches between players of different rank. If you go up against someone ranked higher than you, and you beat him, you get bumped up and he gets bumped down. Eventually, with enough games, the ranking list relaxes out to a good representation of player skill... Or at least, I think that's how it works. I'm quite sure y

I wonder if there's a reason why the in-game interface tells us about stats, but not rank. IMO rank is shaping up to be a better indicator of skill, with a few exceptions. As an example, pretty much everyone in the top 500 would be good teammates to have, and most of those in the top 100 or so are quite exceptional. I've noticed that my rank has been increasing, even though my wins have been decreasing, mainly because I've been playing against players ranked higher than me. Ev
