After seeing day 0 update, it certainly seems the devs were listening hard. Literally every problem we have ranted about is getting fixed there which is really awesome.
The day zero patch does sound good but we will only know how nice it is until we can play it. I still think the whole IMPRACTICALNESS of Generals is just a cop-out. If generals were made to be a buffing/debuffing support character that focused on MINIONS being
Snap. There's one big change that did not get into that change list- Minions now deal more damage.
Hmmmmmm Ill have to wait and see if this makes minions playable. You got my hopes up now [e digicons][/e]
Queen of Thorns Queen of Thorns now deals more damage and has more armor. Many of her abilities have had their cooldown timer reduced and cast times sped up. Lord Erbus (The Vampire Lord) Erbus was a significant challenge because, as most beta testers concluded, he was by far the weakest of the Demigods. As a result, Mike’s team spent a great deal of time over the past few weeks re-imagining him. Erebus now moves as
Keep the reviews coming and let's see if we can't get that score a bit higher before release
Or a bit lower [e digicons]*_*[/e] Personally I think people are being a little bit to nice to demigod in their reviews....
- The developers should have been more willing to make significant changes in gameplay and concept as suggested by testers. This means that the time frame for testing and development probably could have been a bit longer, but more than anything it means the developers ought to have viewed testers as people involved in the development process, not merely as "taste-testers" or "bug-finders" What I mean by "taste-test
Kr5trel, you should throw up an average of the reviews at release for fun. [e digicons]\o/[/e]
LOL@Dakiny: You'd have a little more credibility if you hadn't just accused one of the highest ranked players of cheating because he beat you (with Regulus). http://forums.demigodthegame.com/345230 It's usually considered a good thing if there are significant differences in outcome based on skill and experience with the game. If he'd beaten you with the Rook or some other Demigod I can't help but think your review

Ok, so now we want to create Demigod in the Unreal 3 engine? You know intelligent use of the Z axis has been pretty commonplace in RTS for a long time now? Even starcra
Don't get me wrong: I like DotA. Copying and improving upon another game is perfectly fine by me, but does Demigod actually improve on DotA? The one gameplay feature Demigod boasted -- the only thing that really separated it -- was the generals. On paper, it was a brilliant idea. In the end, and in my opinion, the final general implementation was poor. They are not in line with what was originally announced, and they don't play nearly as well a

I am glad someone has finally put a forceful and thoughtful thread up about this issue. It needs to change and maybe this will finally knock it into somebodies head.
Personally I think the current title screen is bland I hope a change gets implimented.
ok just to be clear - when I say minions I mean the uniques like Spirits and Yetis. I'm not really looking at minos, siege archers, or monks here.
I am talking about all controllable minions in general. The only minions that are really a tactical threat currently are Spirits and I think my suggestions might make all minions something to worry about.
I believe that minions around a general should be stronger. A buffing aurora would work wonderful for this effect, say uh + 50 base attack and 100 base armor. This would make minions a force to be dealt with around there general. I also think generals base attacks should be weaker than there minions this would make a general more of an RTS playstyle. I think that seige archers should do more damage to towers so they would have to be dealt with rather than ignored when seiging a base. This wou
