The label "BETA" is a sure sign for trouble. :)
Especially you as Windows fanboy should be happy
I'm not a windows fanboy. I'm not a linux fanboy. I'm not an OS X fanboy... I use whatever runs the things I want to run. I don't care much about the "flavor of the day" style. I run all the games and applications I need on windows, and I rarely have any issues. To quote an old Unix saying; "If it works, don't fix it"... You can argue all you want about how Vista is crap and doesn't work, fact rema
There are games that will run great on a netbook, alot of them webbased... Assuming you stick to those, a netbook is awesome for gaming. :) It's about the same things as asking "Is it ok to eat mushrooms?".... The answer is Yes and No... It depends on what mushrooms you intend to eat....
Phew... Remake took more effort than expected... Geesh... Anyway, here's how it came out... Changed the colour of the stripes a bit, and made preparations to spice up some sideborders :P
I can't help thinking that it's kind of silly to buy something without making sure the basic requirements are fully met.... from the "minimum requirements" on the Sins page: Broadband Connection for Internet Multiplayer Impulse client software for download/install/updates.

Ugh, yet another skinning format :P And uh... Neither alpha or beta software can be considered "release" imho... pre-release is more accurate. :)
.... Don't run BETA software (specially not an OS) if you're not ready to lose every bit of information on *any* connected harddrive... Actually you should act as if you could lose everything at all times, even when running release software. But the risk of that happening is rather much smaller. :P
Cliff - admin at another site - reports losing Vista partition when he installed 7 - anyone else lose Vista ?
Not me. I'm not brave enough to risk running a BETA OS (specially not a microsoft one) with my main OS drive connected.
Eh, don't be so sure. The Windows source code is insanely bloated and the Free Software developer base will have to retrain themselves to get on it.
Instead of just forcing Microsoft to pay yet another fine I hope the anti trust guys will one day just order Microsoft to open-source D3D. If D3D applications run on all systems, the Windows dominance will be broken within weeks. I do realize that this wouldn't be too great for StarDock ... but that's yet another reason to stop depending on Windows completely for your business model and starting to build at least the foundation for other way
