NOTICE: It appears that the Galactic Domination Alliance has joined the Top 20 on the MV, despite the fact that they haven't actually had any submitted games in quite some time. With that in mind, they have now made the "Active but Quiet" list. If anyone from the GDA would like their empire to be seen on the "Active" list,

That's very odd. Sorry that happened to you... But on the plus side, congrat's on the score CL! That's a fantastic game![e digicons][/e]

No offense to Freeman, but I would love to see him try and spell the word "cholangiopancreatography" Have fun with that one.[e digicons];)[/e]
Hey! H e was a good RPer ( ? ) and a good friend .
Sorry, but I really can't imagine how someone could possibly spell the word "friend" as "freand." Same goes for "hey" being spelled as "hay." I don't think Seeker ever had an account called Hay. Also, and this may just be b
I've got a couple answers, but I'm sure some others can add to them or fill in where I didn't answer... 1. Yes. On the side of the mainscreen (looking at the map), there will be either green, blue, light blue, yellow, or red boxes. They represent the following... Green - New Ship Styles; Completed Planetary Improvements Blue - Completed Ship (click red arrow at the bottom of the box to launch the ship) Light Blue - Peace Treaty signed between two nat
You can download the Galactopedia from the GC2 Library. That should tell you everything you need to know about the tech tree. Here it is... Galactopedia - TA version ... if you still need some more info on the tech tree, feel free to ask. Best Regards.
Thanks mambaman. This AAR is not based on any single game in particular. It's based on many aspects of the game, as well as some experiences I've had over the span of several games. If I was to categorize the settings of those games, I'd say most (if not all) are Gig., common stars and planets, common anomalies, normal/fast tech rate, Tough/Painful difficulty. That's my game of choice, if I'm not going for a quick finish. Some parts of this AAR really can't come from a
Chapter 5 ... there was only one signal left transmitting. The signal was very weak, but it was worth a shot... "TNCC to Beta Fleet! Come in Beta Fleet!" "... this is the TAS Silver Wind. We're taking on heavy enemy fire. Send help immediately!" "Roger that - help is on the way. What's the status on the Endeavor?"
Thanks DA! It's good to finally see some fellow Tyrants around here... Chapter 5 should be up in an hour or two.
Thanks mate. You find any more of Altair's chapters? It's an awesome AAR - can't wait to see it finished.

Chapter 4 ... the Quiet Ones. In the year 2229, the Terran planet Kios suddenly went quiet over all communication channels. After waiting for one standard day, the Terran Alliance sent a Survey ship over to Kios to see what the problem was. Upon reaching the planet, all transmissions from the ship went quiet. With the ship quiet, and an unknown ai

Random facts... The sun reverses its magnetic field every 11 years. The officials blew the final call at the Superbowl. You shouldn't call an official an A-hole in the middle of a basketball game - you will get a technical . ... can you guess which one is a personal experience?
Chapter 2 June 2, 2239 Onboard the TAS Rising Sun - Somewhere in Hyperspace "Alert! Alert! Man your battlestations! The ship is under attack! Alert! Alert! Man your battlestation! The ship is under attack!" No one ever saw it coming. The ship seemed to materialize out of
I'm working on Chapter 2 right now - should be up in an hour or two... ... was hoping some of my fellow Tyrants would have dropped in and read this. I guess I'll just have to add some more action to the story!
Chapter 1 June 1, 2239 Onboard the TAS Rising Sun - Somewhere in Hyperspace As he sat down to lunch in the mess hall, Jason Harper struggled with a nagging thought that had plagued him for the last two hours... 'What if it wasn't just another anomaly? I've never seen a blip like that one on the scanners before. It was so
Thank you. You've got some great ones yourself... [e digicons][/e] I hope to have the next chapter up within a few hours.
You may have noticed this already, but I have released the first chapter of my new AAR (ahead of time, too)... The Unsung Beginning Hope you guys like it. Please feel free to comment on it - it's my first AAR, and I'd like some feedback on what I did well on and what I have some room to improve on. Thanks and Best Regards.
Hello everyone. This is my first attempt at an AAR. As the title suggests, this is the beginning of something. What I intend for this to be the beginning of is a saga of stories I call "Galaxy at War." This AAR, while containing many aspects of a normal game of GC2, is fictional and is not based on any actual game in particular. Before I begin, I would like to explain the title. As you will find out in this AAR, the Galaxy is in a state of total war. The purpose of t
It's a great AAR - hope you find your chapter and post it soon. On an offhand note, all of these fantastic AAR's have inspired me to write up one of my own. I just started, but I hope to have the first chapter or two done by the start of next week... ... emphasis on "I hope."
It seems you have linked the words "Altairs First Strike" to your testing AAR... Possibly some "accidental" advertising?[e digicons];)[/e]
Well, seeing as nobody has posted here in a few days, I guess that means it's time for me to bring up something random. I promise to not let anyone down... ... I've been combing through the AAR section of the GC2 forums, and I've come across quite a few incredible AAR's, many of which seem to come from themocaw. His AAR "Diary of a Terran Soldier" may be one of the greatest AAR's ever written. Just out of curiosity, what are my fellow tyrants favorite AAR's? Any other people t
