The number of players online lately has been awesome... I just wish more than 50% of the games were actually open and not passworded. Hopefully once all of the new people get done testing DA against AI they will start playing MP games. Would be nice to see 4-6 games open at all times [e digicons]:D[/e]
Total Annihilation: Prooved that Chris Taylor was, in fact, Einstein's brain in a new body.
Its a UI mod, meaning that no one else nees to have it for you to be able to use it all the time.
Quoting RAWRRRR, reply 17 within a couple hours of 1.2 release, a mod was made that allows you to see your teammates hp, mana, and armor in a friendly little box that appears when you hover over their name (instead of just hp like it normally is). Is mana surge more appealing to you now? &
I don't think it would be to overpowered... basically serve the same function as Oak's shield (i.e. save someone).
I find warp very helpful. In some ways, it gives you the option to play with a favor item other than Cloak, which in my experience is the single most useful favor item for QoT (unless you are on a large map, in which case Amulet of Tele can become rather useful too). In another light, as I think has been mentioned in a thread elsewhere, it gives Oculus some chasing ability, especially when combined with Cloak.
Just curious if anyone else has noticed that Oculus has one line that sounds like it was recorded by someone else. It almost sounds like Oak's voice, but it is definitely not one of Oak's lines. I can't remember exactly what it says this early in the morning, but I'm pretty sure its a different voice (not gravelly like most of his other lines) and not related to the sound bug that pulls random sounds.
@gkrit: I'm not sure he needs an animation like that. For me, at least, part of DAs strength is the confusion that he can create, which I think was designed on purpose (though I could be wrong in that). Another animation would make it too easy to spot. I actually think an overall warp cooldown of a sec or two might work better so that you can't shadow swap and then warp strike immediatly after. DA should have to sacrifice positioning in order to open up another demi for attack.
Man morpheas, I am really impressed with how much work you have been putting into modding, especially since you are sort of teaching yourself as you go from what I gather. You make me want to try again, even though I've failed many times with past games [e digicons]:D[/e] +1 Karma GL on QoT... I would love her to finally get balanced out seeing as she is my main demi.
I prefer Cape of Plentiful Mana and focus on minion boost, lighting chain, and blast off. I'm still not sure if Mind Shear is working... played another MP game today where I took this and ppl were still regening health even after being hit. Does it only affect base health regen and not stacked HP?
woops, didn't read closely... worthless post
Well, it sounds like sacrifice might be a pretty situational skill. Trouble I see with it is if you are getting focus fired, chances are your team probably won't need the healing anyway. Lightning bolts sound a bit more fun. Oculus' ability to wipe out waves of creeps with ease in addition to passive dmg boost for minions might make for some fun lane pushing if uncontested by AOE demis.
I've played Doc Oc a few times in MP so far, but haven't really explored his passive abilities yet, and most of the ppl I've played with have been doing the same (with the exception of the idol bonus passive). I'm really curious if anyone has tried the lightening dmg passive and the sacrifice ability with an organized team. Plz comment if you have done so!
Agree with ntropy! Besides, I think SD knew this would happen. Where there is a will, there is a way. BTW - Modders rock!!!
It has taken me since release to get close to 500 games... I too wonder how some people have enough time to get even 200 games in a few months. I would guess mostly college students, as I used to game a TON in college (probably spent 4 hours a day playing Guild Wars when that was first released) and too a slightly lesser degree in grad. school. Unfortunately the job and the taking care of a wife in med. school take up most of my time now.
@ddd888: May be 10 targets, but it is actually not that great when fighting all other demis. It is great against Ere and Oak with their swarms, or against creep waves, or if you happen to catch the other demis bunched together, but much less effective against lone demis who don't rely on minions to augment damage. Also, I'm not positive, but I think the hp and mana block isn't working just right. However, I was playing against Nightmare AIs when I noticed that, so maybe their boosted regen st
Yeah, looks like he cuts his own throat, spews blood all over, and then collapses into mist... by far the best death animation in the game!!!

I do give CelMare credit for not being gamer 8!

No offense, but you found this forum but you couldn't find the SD support area? https://www.stardock.com/support/ Email support about the refund and they will most likely respond rather quickly. Also, games are easy to find if you look under "Custom Games." Waiting for games in Pantheon (the matchmaking system) can sometimes be long and painful.
You need to chill. GPG isnt blizzard, they dont have unlimited ressources. Alot of people obviously don't understand how a business works. Well, 2 weeks will give me time to finish Dragon Age before Demigod consumes my life again [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Well phrased, thoughtful question as usual Pacov. You are a much needed voice of reason around here. +1
Bit of a random post... and why would one want to cheat there way through Dragon Age. It so deserves a legitimate play through before cheating.
