The thing is the seekers are easy to kill and if there is a lot of mines what are you going to do? They can not take out all the mines at once.

I just use this tactic in a battle [e digicons]}:)[/e] It was soo much fun watching their fleet go poff. A bunch of lrms were in a group and I layed mines right on top of them. 15 seconds later they were gone. I had already out fleeted them but this was so much fun watching mines do all the work for me and I bet the were pulling there hair out when it happened [e digicons]:D[/e] It is so much fun planting mines and watching them do their work in the enimy fleet.

I just ran into a guy who use his mine layers a front line weapon. I had never seen this happen before but he did it and kill my fleet twice with the mines. I all he did was wait till my fleet stoped moving and bam there are the mines. I know you can kill them before the phaseout but by the time you notice it is all over. Note this is very late game and He had subs too to pin down my allys and my fleet. Any thoughs on how to conter this trick?

I have not been play sins resonly but here is a few of my thoughs. 1. I have always thought that the vas ships should be stronger than any other ships. The cost of a Skirmisher in money and supply should a least intital it way better DPS and health points than any other Lf. B oth is my anwser to the Strike craft chose. All pros will tell you to build a fleet that is designed to kill your oppents fleet . So if you are vs bomer spam with flack cover, your carriers build fighter and then mixed in the LFs to kill there carriers and flack.

Darvin3. I have learned the hard way the more planets and extractors are the way to go not trade. Too many games I went trade instead of planets. Planets are the bomb. They provide income, resores, and the all important logictises slots. I have out econ pocket players by just grabbing more planet after the first fight. That was more along the lines of what I was thinking, just didn't have the time to type it all out. The loan system where you keep your ships but your ally controls your ships would be great. Maybe you would need a cap that has a techable ablity to to give control over to your ally because who is going to be transalating all your vas allies commands? I think though if this is a in race loan you can just hand over control of the ships with a treaty.

Guys. No one here is thinking instead of trading tech for the ships why not just get the ships from your ally. What I am saying is if you have allince with a vas player and you realy need his egg. He can loan it to you. This would give you control over the ship but keep ship techs in each race's tech tree. Example, you have 100 ship slots open. Your ally could give you what ever he wants to fill those slots if you accept the ships. This would need a tech of course to do this. Just think

Illums are almost unconterable tnx to flack(though i do love flack). A good advent player will have enough flack and carriers to keep fighters down and once flack reches critcal mass (20+) you are screwed. Because ilums eat Lfs so what are are you going to do about the flack... Nothing so then his Ilums are safe you can't counter and Advent wins again. Case Closed. Illums OP(cheap and powerful= not good) [e digicons];P[/e] Vas does have SB for D though.

Yes. What we need the Vas SB to start with a slower starting build time than other races SBs in enimy grav wells then with tec go way faster. So you can get one up when you are in late games where it is a lot harder to pull off.

Tyr is a pro beyoned pros so not a good talking point if you are talking about balance. Anyway the SB spam need to be adressed but Ilums are way before that and if you want to keep your blasted ilums fine but it is not funny they wreak the game.
