I have been impressed with the maturity I have seem in this community. I have also been impressed with the 'forgiveness' i have seen in this community. The free wheeling conversations, dialogs, and debates rarely seem to be taken personally. And that bodes well for these forums remaining an incubator of ideas for SD/developers, and remaining a forge to make new and better mods. I have participated in several communities, including one that remained 'private' to keep ob

Thank you... very helpful...
I have trouble, not only with stacking ships, but stacking units, especially beyond 9 in a square.
In the current system (1.09), late game armor makes archers pretty lame. However, archers can improve their hits, in late game, by adding crystal produced equipment. Its only a +2 to attack, but it helps.
How much of the "press' out there is "influenced' by other companies, developers? Just curious what people think about that. I purchased EWoM because I feel PC based games are fan modifiable. And because so few turn based g4 x games are out there. I recently got Warband. Looks awesome. I even put up with steam so i can play. As good as the game is, its worthless to me. Why? Because, no matter how smart i am, I cannot move the mouse and k
Reply # 3 above, Psycho... are save games transferable, and e-mailable? I would love to see your island game, and join in your suffering! Any chance.....
Thanks gazz, just went to gog. dl as I write. Crazy question. i only 'purchased a download for MoM. But when I go to my games dl page, it has 4 games there, "under a steel sky" etc. Is this normal? Are these other 3 games Ok to DL? Or will they charge me for them "later?" Appreciate you telling me how to get MoM. Thank you so much!!!!
May I ask for some help please? I haven't played MoM in MANY MANY years. Have no idea where my old floppy with MoM is. MY PC doesn't take floppys, anyway. How can i get MoM "base/ original" game, and how do i modify my PC (Wine XP) so it will run MoM? I just download several patches for MoM. Hoping... thank you all....
This has happened to me several times, in several games. Sometimes, the 'house' is in the middle of empty land, (not in a settlement) inside another SOV's territory. My only concern was, at the time, that the enemy could use that tile to "attack" my city. Apparently the AI doesn't "see" these misplaced tiles. Would it show in a multi-player game? Would it be a short cut to attacking, or entering the city as a whole?
What do the colors for the pop numbers mean? anyone figure it out? appreciate it
May I follow up on a suggestion I made a few weeks ago? Divide the current "food" resource into "food" and "water." Now, make the only sources of water to be: Oasis, and 'herd' squares. Fertile land, by itself, has no value. It is ONLY potentially valuable IF you have sufficient water to nourish crops. Now, by herds, I mean wild horses / wargs /unlikely allies. The herd would not be there without water. Insect/spider , etc squares have moistur
Well, thank you Dr, et al. i tried to follow the directions on the links. Nothing matched. Did my best. failed. What if i unstalled it?
To stop the error message, right-click the magnifying glass icon in the main Windows tool bar, and from the popup menu, choose “Windows Desktop Search Option.” Look under “Included Locations” for an entry for Outlook Express. Select it, and click the “Modify” button. From the “Indexed Locations” popup, uncheck the Outlook Express en
Index Outlook only Is there a way to use Windows Desktop Search only for Outlook and not use the rest of the searching capabilities? I find it usefull for Outlook but have no need to index the rest of my data on my machine. You can achieve this by disabling all the ot... I just want outlook expre
Thank you all. I will follow up on these suggestions. Note, please, I have a gig of HD space free. Will report back. Thank you all! BTW, I use Mozilla Firefox, and thinking of trying opera. -anything to make it more difficult for the viruses (Viri) out there. elana
Frogboy, The greatest leaders generally are people who surround themselves with excellence. They bring into their inner circle (leadership team) individuals who are actually better than they are (at various tasks, responsibilities, etc.) That's wisdom that borders on genius. Refreshing to read your journal - how open you are about, well, you! I, for one, appreciate what you do, and how you are going about it. Thank you. <p
Hi Dr. Guy, here is the dialogue box that pops up when powering up my PC. i one tried letting it "condense" the non-existant message and it took over 5 minutes... LOL. Outlook Express &
Hey Jazzz, We have caravans so I want a chariot for my sovereign to drive into battle. And fluffy dice for the rear mirror. Will your mirror come with he warning "Objects are closer than they appear" ? Especially effective when being chased by giant lizards, or shambling elementals.
Thanks Dr. Guy. I feel uncomfortable modifying the resister - as I don't really understand how it works. So, next time i boot up, I will note the exact words of the dialog box and post them here. THANK YOU!
Back up a bit, perhaps. Do you understand that files with a ".rar" or ".zip" ending are compressed (condensed) files, packed to take up less space when moving. copying, etc... ? Compressed files cannot do anything alone. To use the file, you have to "unpack" it first. That requires, as stated above, a program to unpack it, There are may free ones out there. Win zip comes to mind. Many are good. Some handle more than one compression type. Almost
I second all the above. in addition: Easier stack management on strategic map. Underwater environment, sov? etc. A risk added for entering most "ruins" abandoned temples, etc. Any abandoned building complex may be shelter from the hot days and cold nights of the desert - Too many risk free goodie huts. And, (like for the floating armor) DON"T remove the tile if the player says, "opps, I'm outta here." Give us a chanc
Hi. I run wine XP, have MS Office 03 installed. I have never used outlook at home, (and don't want to). Every time i turn the PC on, it takes forever as this outlook dialog box comes up, and asks me to 'consolidate' my email messages. They're aren't any. I have tried going to start up options. I have tried uninstalling just "outlook" there seems to be no option to do that. As I want the rest of the MS suite intact. Does anyone know how to do this, and
In the same vein is the diplo message from sov "x" saying we need to meet to do some treaties. Then when i go to the window, the values are so lopsided that even if I gave everything to SOV x, it would still not be enough to agree to the proposed treaty. happens alot. Perhaps, a modifier could be thrown in; When the other SOV initiates the meeting, it "values" the assets of the player more highly than when the player initiates the meeting.
Awesome look visuals. I'm more of a light and, not darkness, player. Well having seen these, perhaps you will entice be to take a stroll on the dark side?
raven X, thank you for clarifying so much for me. One quick question, please. What is/are 'continuous turns?' Is this like to round system discussed elsewhere, or a real time movement system. I hope its not real time - my hands just don't move fast enough. (I had to give up warband because i can;''t melee fast enough.)
