I think the stun problem can easily be solved by simple casting time/cooldown/duration balance changes which will get in to work later on.
That's the easiest, and probably the best solution.

There are a few basic changes that could be seen as for balancing, but for the most part it looks like they're just providing the beta players with more content and more interesting things to test out.
and again, I said make it an OPTION. I did not say make it the only option.
You didn't, but Eoynn, whom I quoted, said that each Demigod should only be able to be chosen once.
it already IS an option.
I think all he's saying is that he wants there to be at least 10 Demigods so people can do 5v5 battles without any repeats.
Um, no. Just no. In WoW, warriors and mages are classes. In Demigod, each hero is a DemiGOD - that means one of a kind - that means battling to become a God. In an army there are thousands of 'archers' or 'footmen', but only one 'king'. In this game, Demigods are 'kings'. It doesn't make sense, and nothing you can say will make it make sense I'm afraid. Bottom line is this: <br

I don't like it. It's griefable, it's easily ruined by lag, it creates a much larger gap between unorganized and organized players, as well as new and more experienced players. It's would also get teammates mad at each other because they both tried to use a stun at the same. I think there are better ways of dealing with this.

Some of you guys are making this too complicated. Just make it so it requires 1 extra guy to capture, it captures more slowly, or keep it the same and up the price/lower the duration, or something simple like that. Making it has a different effect for every possible number of players is unnecessary and just makes it more complicated for no reason.

I think they should just make it so that stuns aren't as powerful as they are now. Even with the -1 second deal, 2 rooks would be able to stun one player for 9 seconds, which is enough to often get a kill before they are allowed to retaliate at all. In any reasonable situation 3 players are going to win against a single opposing player without issue, chain stunning or not. If the Rook's boulders were something more like a 3 or a 4 second stun with a 30 second cooldown,

If you have any ideas like that, I'd definitely be interested in hearing them, and the dev team probably would be too. With that said though, th

Perhaps it would be best to not have any single flag be quite as powerful as the center flag in the waterfall stage is, so it being locked away isn't as big of a deal. If there were 3 flags, locking one of them wouldn't be quite as decisive of an advantage, I think.

I don't think FFA would work with this game. I don't think it was designed with that in mind. More gametypes would be cool though, multiple gametypes can keep the game feeling fresh for much longer than it would otherwise.

Frost nova takes 2 points to max and lets you do it to an entire force all at once and gives you 10 seconds for buildings and minions, and 5 seconds for demigods. I consider Demigods to be the highes

I don't think there's anything "noobish" about asking questions. The camera is 3rd person, and the player can freely change the angle, move it around, and zoom in and out. It is blatantly clear to everyone that the Torch Bearer is the coolest Demigod, but I think his skills could use some spicing up. In his ice form he has 2 stun skills and one area of effect damage skill. In his fire form he has one single target damage skill and three area of effect damage skills which, as I understand will be lowered to two so that he can revert to ice form at will. I find this more acceptable for fire form than ice form, since it is advertised as be

I don't get this whole recipe thing. If you can get the magical boots by combining the hat that costs $2000 with the gloves that cost $5000... why not just have the store sell the magical boots for $7000 instead? Am I misunderstanding how that works?
ummm curseman they just said that this next patch is going for improved balance so its pretty clear that nerfs and buffs is relevant at ths point in time.
The balance changes happening at this point will still be at only a very basic, conceptual level. It's clearly named as part of the "Demigod engine test beta." I wouldn't expect any real balance work to be done at this point, or at beta 2 either, really.

I'm with innociv on this. There's probably going to be an "ideal" time that the best players will all follow and it'll become just one more bit of unnecessary micromanagement that makes it harder to get into the game. There is no way to view the other team's equipment, so there is no real strategy in trying to counter their choices. In a standard rts you try to scout out the other team's base and upgrade your buildings when you think you have enough time before t

Alright, I'll try to explain the game as best as I can. You get 1 - 5 demigods to a team on both the forces of good, and the forces of evil. Their coloration is different, but as far as gameplay both sides are otherwise identical. You can be an assassin which is a one man army, or a general who *has* an army. In beta 1, what we're playing now, we only have one stage, which is 3 vs 3, and 3 demigods to choose from, all of whom are assassins. Beta 1a will be rele

I'm not sure if you already get gold for killing enemy demigods... but it must be very little because I never seem to notice it even when watching my gold... If you don't get a lot of gold for killing an enemy demigod... it doesn't seem like theres much incentive in risking your demigod attacking them if there are plenty of regular spawn units to be killed... of course there also could be a ranking system for killing demigods wi

Think of playing an assassin character as being like playing an action rpg in an rts setting. You're a single powerful character with various spells and abilities that help you fight off the enemy's hordes. It plays *kind of* like Diablo, but you generally only get money rather than random loot from your kills, and you use that to buy new equipment. A general is supposed to be more like a traditional rts, where they are not a fighting force unto themselves,

You could level against more challenging opponents. I personally think that they should increase the numbers of low level units, and lower their experience value, so they don't make the player level up faster than they currently do, but are more dangerous as a fighting force, while individually still being no match at all for the demigods.
