Mageslayer isnt the cheapest one, cheapest one is 8k, Also, if you got enough gold to buy mageslayer you have won already anyway. P.S. It does sound evil though
I don't think so. Gathering 8k is not so hugelly difficult and I usually manage it by the mid game since I'm not buying any other items (except perhaps wyrmskin handguards) and focus on killing creeps.

Ok, I've been playing with this for the last few games and I'm smelling ultimate pain cooking which I am not certain should be legal The recipe is this. UB + Stuff that gives attack speed (Inner Beast basically) + the Mage Slayer sword which is the cheapest artifact one can buy, and it becomes a very very nasty killing machine. Add to it the Wyrmskin Armbands for the extra damage and slowdown and the pain is immense. I am talking to the tune of felling a tank god within

I'm very glad you bring in professional writers. That will hopefully make the game world very memorable and incite fan content and stories. I hope you won't mind if I make some suggestions while you're still in the development phase? I'd like to see some research that is unique to each faction. That would really help each of them stand out. Instead of having simply one quasi-RPG unit, allow the players to recruit characters which can join your armies as sergeants, (attach
And that both OSes can be a hugely crappy choice too, depending on what it is you want from it
That can be said for any OS. Which is why I say that subjective criticisms don't add much. I like Red, you like Blue, he likes Green. So what. The point of this thread was basically to show that there is a viable gaming market for GNU/Linux and we've gone way off topic by now
Yup. Every icon is clutter. And most people do not have a problem spending a few hours customizing their desktop for the first time, especially when they know they won't have to reformat quite so soon (or that even if they do, th
. . . but after all the arguing, it seems that Microsoft is still #1. Even with the very visible mistakes with Vista, Linux doesn't seem to be a runaway success. I'm just trying to figure it out - why, if Linux is so great, is it not succeeding? Several OEMs have tried installing Linux by default on some computers, but that didn't seem to work out - why not?
Because GNU/Linux is the total underdog. The fact that we can have such a discussion now and even argu

Let me amend you quote to display: "Businesses and people are often conservative by nature - they genera
As the Office UI blog observed, most people are not trained in Geology. People don't want their features hidden underneath a lot of "rocks." Btw, I have a save for a huge battle but I can't really enjoy it much with the hub in the middle. The cinematic camera simply removes the fleet colours so it doesn't help much. Is there any way to make watching grand battles like this more enjoyable? I don't remember which game it was which had a cinematic option with which the camera simply left your control and started taking cinematic views on its own. At one point it would follow one ship up close, at another it would do a bullet

Gerry, I think the problem here is that you joined too early. If you think you would have been more constructive at beta3, then you should stop playing until that comes out. There are others who think they can have a constructive input before that however (including Stardock employees) so for them, the option to play Beta1 and Beta2 is open.
