They nerfed the normal AI in Rebellion. How much was it saving? It may have been trying to get a titan.
Popping back in to say Hi @Goa. The Rebel Alliance seems to be just right with 3.1. I see that you quietly updated the list of upcoming New Republic ships at some point. That was a nice little surprise for me and I still eagerly await it. I recognize that it will take as long as it takes, so I am swallowing the temptation to fall into some of the more annoying commentary that an excited mod consumer can lapse into. Thank you for th
There is no number of research you HAVE to have. 166 does sound about right for what the vanilla races have, but plenty of mods have more or less different techs than that.

Remember English is not everyone's first language here. :p I agree it is unfortunate that we have the different version situation. Hopefully everyone will be on the same version again soon.
Oh really? Where and when did they indicate that that was their future intention? While the community would likely be more than happy with a remastered Sins, a true sequel would be a very interesting development.
The CEO of Stardock posted in a random thread on the Rebellion Steam forums that a sequel was in the works, but it would be some time yet. There's been no official announcement yet but I'd say that'
well I have nothing to say to this than you have to be some overwatch for the big modders
Indeed. While its nice to know people agree that we were making sense (after many longer hours of looking at Sins files, it is sometimes hard to tell if you are still sane [e digicons];)[/e] ), I don't see the point of harassing Erik. I guess he's happy with what he got, however he got it. :p
Same here. I would also appreciate an AI that isn't locked away in .exe or .dll files (or wherever it is), but I could certainly live without it in favour of a rebuilt 64bit game engine that this sprawling game desperately needs.
It would be nice, but almost certainly won't happen for Rebellion. Maybe Sins 2.
I have no doubt that only rebuilding the e
Well first of, Stardock is the publisher not the developer. That's Ironclad. Second, mods have never truly been supported by devs. Many current developers allow mods to happen and even provide tools but any mods that break the game (aka going over RAM) are not the developer's problem. Hence no support.
I'm pretty sure no game has ever given technical support for mods. :p What most people mean by mod support
There are a number of maps in game that have this, but do so by not having any phase lanes to the Stars on the map (Ancient Gifts). If you can't reach the star, you have to use normal phase lanes or wormholes. If you're really determined to remove the research, well it sounds like you made a mistake somewhere. :p Did you make your own mod with the modified player.entity files? Is the checksum zero? Did you make sure to grab ALL the player.entity files (Rebels and Loyalists)? A

Settings are fine in other mods but for this mod i have to change them.
Partly. Bizzarely to get it to look like there is no shields, we have to double our ship mesh sizes. :p [quote who="Brunftzeit"
Should be. What versions do you and your friend have? It is possible your friend may be on an older version since I imagine the update process isn't automatic for countries with the physical release.
Congratulations on placing second in the moddb mod of the year contest; this is more than worthy of a place in the top 5 mods on the site.
Makes sense. The Rebellion though can spam capital ships, up to 16, (as well as the vanilla factions) because fleet supply and capital ship crews are separated research, where the Empire must upgrade fleet supply to get more capital ships.
well I looked into it and renamed everything to cap and the only thing that mentioned a titan was the sound files
You are still not understanding. Look at a capitalship file. You'll notice there are different lines between a titan and capitalships. You can not just rename things in the titan file and get it to work as a capitalship. They may both be called ".entity" files, but the game expects them to
If any players who bought Sins from GOG is reading this, the mod now works with version 1.83 . Steam players on 1.82, no need to update yet.
Sins is put onto its own core, so that isn't the issue. What graphics settings do you have set? I turned on Fraps, and my framerate is garbage whenever I move the camera, regardless of my settings. And I still get those micro stutters, especially when moving the camera. If it is software related, would it be Sins itself or something else on the computer?
I'm thinking something else on the computer. I mean,
As I’m sure you’re all aware, this weekend is a special one to Star Wars fans. The Force Awakens represents a new hope for our favorite franchise and the first opportunity to see Star Wars on the big screen in many years. In honor of this, and also as promised to the community by our team as a reward for Interregnum reaching the top 100 in the Mod of the Year contest, I am proud to reveal the other faction making its first appearance in our mod in the Beta 1 release.
Wow. I wondered what you were doing on today. I had no idea that we were getting an update. Nice work again Goa. Oh--and, "FIRST".
The 4790k apparently has one of the best single core performances on the market. Now I did hear that sometimes the computer will try to run almost every process on one core, making Sins slow down. Is there a way to assign Sins to one core all to itself while everything else runs on the others?
I used a 4790k when I built my new PC, and it was a huge step of for Sins. You should cert
Sounds like there is some buggy framework going on. Did you have Windows 10 before? I'd email Stardock support regardless, since that issue is too weird to be a common problem.
It's that time of year again folks! It's Sins patch time, and here's what you need to update your mods to the new version. This patch is unusual since this is the firs time different players have different versions. Sins just launched on GOG last week, and the new GOG players have been running the new version from the start. For all of us still on steam, the 1.83 update is now available as an "opt in" beta .
Ah, okay. While I would like to see the Alliance get one or two more CIS ships (the Recusant and Munificent cruisers are particularly impressive from SoGE) I understand your reasoning behind not doing so.
