Ya the range is really bullshit. I think for the cast time and price the range should be quite a lot. I bought it for torchbearer thinking I can blink and start Frost Nova, Switch to fire and Fire Nova but I found myself not far from where I was standing.

It was for a while on gamespot, but I think stardock works with a budget when it comes to advertisement.
After reading the day 2 status report I do not recal seeing any thread about not being able to connect. Is the connectivity any better are people able to play the online multiplayer without any problem? Or not?
I feel that the Demigods base movement speeds are very low. Even when you buy boots for movespeed they still walk very slow. It is annoying since the maps are big and it takes them forever to walk back and forth. Buying Teleportation scroll is not the idea either. But I guess it is also because of the animations and cast time, since they would easily avoid the spells. I also agree with the second.
Not much that can be done about it. Multiplayer isn't fully functional which is dissapointing for many.
There is nothing that can be done now. It has been 3 days since official release and people who are excited to play the multiplayer still can't play it.
Ever since the game was released a lot of people have been having problems to connect to mulitplayer matches. I know that Stardock has been working to fix the issue, but some people are still having problems. Most are trying to find different ways to play multiplayer, Hamachi is one of them. Another alternative is Garena. For those who do not know what Garena: "Garena is a popular FREE downloadable software provided by Ocean Global Holding. Garena, short for Global Arena, is a multifu
Forget abou the gamespot incident. Well at the moment they are having problems with the online connectivity so I would wait a few more days before getting.
Yes an /ignore or /block would indeed be awesome.
Ye i know that but the game will never be 100% balanced. The only good way to know what needs balancing is through the community. What I am trying to say is something like this. They work on 2 Demigods, try to balance it as much as they can before the release and then work on two more almost balanced Demigod will take more time then releasing 4 Demigods half imbalance and half balanced. It takes to much time to wonder all the details and compare to other Demigods spells to see how you
Is it a review writen by reviewers from UGO.com or an actual blog from someone, because I am not very fond of blog written reviews.
I think the ladder will be reset after they fixed most of the connectivity issue.
I am not dissapointed how the game turned out and have no problem with the 8 Demigods in total. In knew from the beginning that the game was going to have 8 Demigods. I know the developers said that two more are on the way but given that many are still are still disapointed and some bitch about only having 8 Demigods, I think it's best to give the community more then two. I know it takes a lot of work but try releasing more then 2 Demigods if possible. They do not have to be perfectly balance
^Hes retarded :), he can't see it.
Halo3 also had connectivity issues going for a month, because servers were over loaded. I had to wait 2 hours to try and maybe get lucky to connect. Yet the reviews were "Multiplayer is great, there is no connection problem what so ever, you can easily connect to a game" "not those that speaks the truth!!" You obviously just looked at the scores of the ones on the mainsite and said "that is not possible" and asume that they are lying. Most of them stated what was bad in th
I was going to tell you to stop complaining about the gamespot review because you deserved it for having unplayable multiplayer on day 1 but then I changed my mind. I remember that Halo 3 day 1 was unplayable online, the same for Battlefield bad company and I am sure many other games because of the number of connections. Why did these games not face the same wrath in review scores as Demigod on gamespot? Probably because they were played on priva
1UP is willing to give Demigod a chance of 24 hours. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3173758 Scott Sharkey from 1UP said: "I'm not reviewing Demigod. Well, not today, anyway. At the moment the only reliable way of playing is in a single player match against bots, which is more of a tease than anything. Evaluating it on that basis wouldn't be doing it much justice. Still, I think people should have a heads up before they buy the game. At the time of this writing Demig
The game is trash right now. 6.5 is generous.
Ye in way I guess you can say that. The multiplayer isn't working for most and it is what will impact most of the Demigod reviews. The reviewer is not familiar with the style of this game so he was expecting some sort of tutorial which you personally can't blame him for.
As I mainly do not experience that much of a problem with the connecting to matches I do not complain, but seriously I have experience by far more worst online connection with other games that came out. Some you couldn't connect online at all, it was not even worth trying. You basically had to wait for an announcement to know when you can actually start trying. Other games had connection working here and there but lagged like fuck. So this does not come close to what I have experienced before
I don't trust that review. It's great to get rave reviews but not when they come as fanboy gushings.
Fanboy gushing? hehehehehe you have not seen fanboy gushing/raging in a review yet. This doesn't even come close to that.
Good and honest review. I personally have no problem with the " cheesy one-liners and familiar phrases", I do however not like the background music in game. It's a bit boring. You can barely hear it and units smashing, tower bashing is to loud compare to the background music. As far as replay value goes it really depends on the games. After a 1 hours game you will most likely feel tired and stop playing, while some just keep going till they drop. The game
[e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] It was a question to simply screw around with these people asking for Giant rocks ganging flower ladies. Like "wasn't it suppose to be like Halo 3?" Ye I was kidding.
:) Because we are talking about the dota community, that is just how they are. Icefrog has done a good job on the map and the one who contributes the least is the community. He gets more complains because of peoples personal imbalanced thoughts to the map than an actual thank you. But when it comes to other games they immediately raid a forums, literly raid a forums and pretend like they have done so much for dota.
rofl. you don't even realize that in the paragraph where you talk about demigod gameplay you can replace all of the specific names of demigods/spells with dota heroes/spells. here let me give it a go I've come to love the PvP in this game so much more than in most other games. I guess you could say the game is rather basic when it comes to the fighting. You have your snares, your burst, your heals and your bu
Demigod was suppose to be dota at a 100% only in mythology style? Hell, I guess many were looking forward to see a Giant Rock gang a half naked flower lady.
