It would be nice to be able to build defences on the planet itself. Have a Hoth style Ion cannon hiding in a valley somewhere just waiting for a Vasaari bombardment ship to come into view... -boom-
Would be nice to have more control over the planets you take. Ie/ You can decide you want an urban sprawl and watch as the planets surface slowly turns into a huge city. Obviously there'd be certain advantages and disadvantages associated with it.
It could be nice to have more recources than just Money, metal and Crystal but that might cause you to lose focus on other things and I like how sins is streamlined and nothing is more complicated than it needs to be. (To an extent)
A *Ruins* planet would be nice. Basically the remains of a great city of a long dead civilisation. I don't know if it's moddable but I'd make it so there was a good chance of finding an artefact by exploring it.
