First off, thank you for the work you are doing on the site! It's looking great! I'm constantly checking the stats, even though I know they are not accurate and the game is still in beta! (It's addicting!) I did have a question though... I don't know if it's a bug being worked out or if there is a mechanic behind the scenes that I do not know of, but my numbers on my stat page do not matc

Hello everyone, As Stardock's web developer, I was tasked with creating a statistics website for Demigod using the ungodly amount of data we (will) have available to us. That website is now located at http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com . A bunch of you already saw the "beta" version a few weeks back. While this site is still a beta, I am happy enough with it to remove the beta message that was at the top of the page in
Thanks for the update, Bara. Any idea when we'll start to see losses counted?
Beta 3 losses will be counted. All losses up until now were unfortuantely lost due to improprer data collection. Sorry.
Awesome GunslingerBara u rock! Question - How will you know who d/c's and how does the whole system work for detecting which player d/c'ed?
Another update: New URL's for easier reading and SEO. Changed what is displayed on the tournaments screen. Now shows each team and top players for each team. I provided links at the bottom of the page to view top player rankings for that tournament and to view tournament history. Now showing total disconnects in player's page. Fixed various stats bugs. If you see a bunch of 0's or inaccurate data, that's because the data is old and we have not
The search bit is a problem that exists across all of the forums, not just this one. I have a temporary solution that I will implement at a later time, after some testing. The karma bug seems to be related to Javascript errors, I'll look into that soon. Thank you for bringing them to my attention. Bara
All of the previous rankings are now back up. Note that if you see something like that again, that's just our test data and will be updated soon. Negative played minutes comes from a bug we fixed a while back. Problem is, anyone who was playing at the time of the bug will have negative playtime. Those negative won't be there for the full game. We are still looking into why the same person appears multiple times. Bara
Minor update this morning. Fixed a few bugs, resolved the "jump" from rank 900 to 10,000. Losses are now counted. We removed quite a bit of data for the time being. Expect a "bigger" update with some design changes, more stats, and more bug fixes later this week/early next week. Bara
Thanks for the information. I think I know where the problem lies and will resolve it first thing Monday morning. Bara Don't you get Presidents day Monday off?
President's Day, what's that? :p Bara
Yes, I will be implementing losses as well. We are still working with Gas Powered Games in getting the proper statistics. Whatever we get we will try to put on this website. Expect more as we go on, perhaps even after launch. Bara
Ok, it is great to know that someone is working on it and reading here . It looks like it will good when it is finished. Also, I found another bug, though this one seems to be with the site itself. If I click Pantheon at the top of this page, and then click Skirmish Rankings, and then click one of the page numbers, it sends me to the tournament listing instead of to the right page of the rankings. If fro
Hey guys, I'm one of the devs working on the stats right now. I'll answer a few of your questions: A search is coming, you'll be able to search for a player's name and it will return all players with that name (or similar) along with their rank and some other information. I'm also looking into allowing you to search by PlayerID or AccountID (PlayerID is an in-game ID used by Demigod, AccountID is your Stardock Account ID). The reason some of you see your names twic
I have a solution for forum search, but have not implemented it yet. I'll add forum subscriptions and article watching to my list. I am currently knee deep in a different project. Once it is completed I will move on to the forums and try to get as many of the user's suggestions as possible. I apologize for the long wait. Bara
I've been using Fences for a little while now and I must say it's one of my favorite apps for Windows so far. Really great way for increasing productivity and reducing clutter. Bara
Good to see at least one company in Michigan doing well, and glad to be a part of it :D Bara
@1 might be using firefox..... i am and the search does not work, it does in explorer
I'm using Firefox 3... I dont get anything for "Thalans" but I do get results for other searches, such as Stardock (15 pages, which for a forum as small as GuiChamps, isn't unlikely). Bara
1. I clicked on the search button and it worked just fine. I even made a few searches and only pressed the search button and they all worked. We are talking about the same search button right? The one for the forums at the top of the page where it says "Welcome [username]?" Let me know. 2. That may have been done on purpose. If Zoomba doesn't see this I'll bring it to his attention. 3. Odd bug. I'll add it to my list of "Forum ToDos."
Strange. I'll add it to my list of things to do/fix. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Bara
Why is Vista better than XP? Let me list the reasons: - Better 64-bit driver support. - Over 3GB RAM in 64-bit. Having 4GB of usable RAM makes for a very smooth experience both in apps and games. - Better Start Menu. The search feature alone is worth it... I've had no reason to use Launchy since Vista's start menu has everything I need. - Better overall visual experience. Sure, Aero can be slow for older computers, but proper hardware provides a
Guys, keep in mind we still have the "Best Overall Dream" to do later this month. So be sure to update your dreams as much as you can before that deadline. Congrats to the winners, yet again! -Bara
Congrats guys. You really impressed with the first round of voting! -Bara
Be sure to use the vote button in each section. The first time I voted, I just used the vote button on the bottom thinking I was submitting my vote for the whole page. Instead I was just voting for the Most Original category and missed voting for the Most Usable. Good thing I went back to the page later.
I'll add a "Submit Vote For All" button later. Thanks for the idea :p [quote w
I don't seem to have the problem you guys are describing neither here at work or at home. But then again, I have fairly beefy machines at both places. Any other information you guys can give me would be helpful, like OS (32-bit or 64-bit as well), browser and version, internet speed (cable? dsl? how many mbps?), or processor speed. I don't think there's anything I can do on my end, but perhaps there's a bug thats attributable to a specific browser or OS.<
Fixed. Thanks for letting me know. -Bara
The Team Skins issue is resolved. Thanks for bringing it to my attention Zoomba. Teams with single users and Skinhit's icon pack should appear now. -Bara
Pressing Next when in the Dream gallery takes page 2 of the global GUIC gallery, not page 2 of the Dream gallery. When looking at a skin's info, the "By" field is the name of the skin, not the name of the submitter.
These will be fixed when the next update is uploaded. -Bara
