Keep scouting and taking out the research stations. They can't build them if they lose their tech. You can throw SWAT teams at them with anti-fighter, shield restore and torpedo ships. Later in the game it's kind of fun to see how small a SWAT team it takes to achieve your goals. This game is worth the extra effort. And I think you will look back on this and laugh and laugh... But really, it takes about 5 minutes to create an account. An average Sins game can go on for hours. Now go get that patch and start the best years of your adult gaming life!
