I have not seen such a crash with my Demigod game so far. Does only the tournament crash or all single player modes? The message tells that some file was locked by an other process. Can it be that impulse was updating the game or that a anti virus program locked a file or something like that? Have you tried to restart the game/and or the PC? If it still not work I would try reinstall the game.

When you look at the patches for Demigod you will see that there have been some very annoying bugs that could be easily fixed but were not for a long time. There were some infos from time to time but now as the two are more or less finished a bit more info would be nice. For example the infos about Oculus were not that detailed as for the Demon Assassian and there has also not been a video showing him in action. Actually I like Demigod but I am neither a fanboy nor someone who simply likes to bash Demigod. I have not the time and not the interest in participate in some Ready to Play Beta test. Though I am interested what is going on. Not

For example the stats of the demigods skills like they are set up for the beta test. Some

My guess is cost but I don't know.
The problem is more tricky than only costs. It can not be said if p2p or client/server is "better". This depend on the circumstances. Client server has its advantage when the players have low bandwith. In this case all players only need a connection to the server and therefore can save band

For those that are interested. If you also want to change the sound files according to your language and not only the text files: On the DVD there are folders for each language. French, German, ... Go there to the Sounds folder where you find a VOICE.fsb file. This file contain the sounds. So copy this file to the folder where you have installed Demogod, for example C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\Sounds To change to the english sound file (if you have not inst

Many parts of the gameplay of SC come directly from TA. For example the ACU, the way how you create buildings and how the resources work. There are also some differences, some things have been added in SC and some removed. e.g. TA has no experimentals but has more types of construction units (e.g. flyin

The own AI team is stupid, that's true. Though the enemy AI also isn't that clever it seems. If you play Nightmare more often you will see that it is actually easy the beat the enemy although your AI team make serious mistakes. After I played several tournaments at Nightmare I hardly lost any game (the most difficult mode is obviously when 10 kills end the game). Sometimes I even managed to get all Awards within one game and made more than 1000 points in the Nightmare tournament at a

I am quite sure that the problem is the screen resolution of the new TFT is somehow different than the old one. Either it has less pixel in the height or in the width. I have the same problem as I sometime play at a TFT with 1280*1024 and sometime at one with 1440*900. I get the same misleading error message if I change the TFT without editing the prefs file. The solution is the following: Open your "Documents" folder within Windows. I am not sure how it is called in your Wind

Currentyl I have installed the german version of Demigod. Thought it would be handy to switch sometimes to the englisch version as especially for online play the english names of items, spells and so one are good to know. Is there an easy way to change that? As far as I remember the installation dialog showed me many languages to choose of, so the data should be at the DVD. Is there for example some kind of command line switch to enforce a language or can some ini-File be changed or w

So the other team gets 2 AI added to flavour the mix.
I think it would be better to give the AI some notable bonus when it replace a player. For example give her some good items for free. This could be made dependent from the levels of the enemies and the level of the player the AI is taking over. A well equipped AI is dangerous and not only food.

As this issue seems interesting I have made some quick tests. It seems that the sound has a notable impact on the performance of the game. I made all tests at Mandala and made all slots beside mine full with normal AI. First I have made some test with my old Athlon 3400+ with a 6600 GT and 2 GB of ram. The screen resolution was 1024*768 and vsync was off. With everything at low details and nosound the games frame rates are somewhere between 18 and 25 FPS. If I enable sound then th

That with the onboard sound is true but that is no issue for a modern CPU. I never had a PC with a dedicated sound card and even the older ones hat enough CPU power for that. There must be a bug within Demigod that causes this problem at certain systems. AFAIR there were similar issiues also at Supreme Commander on certain systems. I had the opportunity to test this problem with Demigod myself when I wanted to play Demigod at my laptop once. The frame rate was so low the game was unpl
