I've been waiting for this game for 5 years. I'm not buying it anymore. Thanks for outlining that :P.

What do I do then? Repost it all? Is there a way to make this forum e-mail me whenever I have a post? It's really a pain to keep checking it once every few weeks manually.
Saving doesn't save your research. You come back from a save as if the research is gone. The game crashed many times for me randomly or not. Clicking on things is very difficult. Sometimes you could not say "don't declare war" There are times when you delete a building and the delete building mouse pointer does not disappear. Roads sometimes disappeared randomly If you start a game, go to the menu and start another, the screen
Haha, I'm pretty darn sure I was charged already for the game. That's what preordering is, it's putting down your money for something that hasn't come out yet. Secondly, what was the newsletter saying then that the beta is out for testing?
Where's the beta? It seems as though it's out but I have no access even though I purchased it :(.
I'll be a fan when I play it :P. Still waitin' on the beta.
Naw, not since the patches. Thanks! I wish this forum e-mailed me when there was an update...
A decription of WHY it's bad is worth my time, not a baseless comment with hyperbole.
I've been trying out see how low I can go w/ my specs. I've got two more rigs to put this game on, a Pentium 4 3.06GHz w/ Hyper Threading + GeForce 7600GT 128MB (below spec on both fronts) or my Core2Duo 2GHz + GeForce M8400GS 128MB laptop which is also below spec because the game calls for 256MB of graphics memory. Both computers have Vista 64 and 4GB of RAM. I wonder how the game will fare even on the lowest settings. So far, the lowest hardware I've installed Demigod to is an Athlo
It's in! It's called the 'tournament'.
Then it's utterly lacking a story. It's there, but not enough so that it feels like a complete experience. And that's what I've been telling people too, the tourney is the single player campaign mode.
juas... the game has skirmish. wellcome to skirmish city, population 1: you. no singleplayer for you, only bots and bots, in skirmish maps :-I that is bad? you are the judge.
Was any sort of single-player game even revealed?
oh ok I just noticed that someone has already done that. Check out the thread up top called Demigod: the basics it was created by Orlean Knight. gives some good information for newcomers
I was gonna say :P.
Actually, if they had an option in the menu "turn off all backgrounds, needless special effects, stage details", then it WOULD be playable. They really need that option. You could play the game in wireframe or in blocky mode. Those are good ways to get more people to purchase and play the game and then my older computer can play. I recall once playing a game where on slower PCs, the trees no longer had leaves (and leaves falling off), they had big green hexagons and fences were not see-throug
Banned for banning for triple post.
Well the thing is, how do you make a tutorial for Demigod? Each and every demigod is special and unique. You'd either have to do it for one or all and if you do one, people will only learn on that one demigod assassin or general or both. It seems complicated and tedious when all you need to know is click click click and highlight to read. The manual would be enough to say that, but also general gaming knowledge as well which hopefully anyone buying the game has. If not, :(.
Stardock plasters DRM-free all over the place. Where are you getting that? I never even heard of GOO. I didn't notice Demigod on the trackers, that's because I wasn't lookin' for it there. Best to pay for something first if you're even going to consider downloading it. I still wonder how there are trackers for illegal things. People using my ISP get their Internet access shutdown if they're downloading torrents illegally. My university did that too, but for torrenting anything or use
I'd hope so. Demigod is keeping everyone really really busy though.
Yeah, that is a big deal. I have been having troubles w/ Sins and may have troubles with Demigod on my other rigs because the games are just not optimized for lower-end systems using flagship hardware. I have an ATi HD3870 or X1950Pro struggling to play a multiplayer game of Sins even if I really lower the settings down for whatever reason. The fact that my main rig is hosting the game should relieve some stress from the other machines, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I always l
After another day with the game, I'd have to say the Rook is still a bit nerfed but playable now. There were two times I saw the Rook prevail, once was the ai on my team in a normal mode tourney because the entire stage was all towers basically, and then another was the stage Prison during a 5v5 where the ai Rook was on the opposing team and for some reason, was able to be the beefy madhouse the Rook should be. I was gonna suggest the Rook be strengthened a bit somehow but after playing that
Yeah, I'd like to see this merged version.
I dunno where it is at all. I'm really new to these forums.
Really? I got one even from the Elemental game. What is your issue the keys? Login, check the status of your ticket, and keep us updated.
I would suggest spending time playing against the computer A.I. Even at the default difficulty, you have time to learn about items/armor, favor, and upgrading the fortress. Admittedly, I haven't played against any human opponents yet, but I am sure I will be in no time at all.
You mean default time not difficulty right? And I haven't played humans either. I'm hoping my sister comes in this weekend so we can play. [quote w
Lol. You're gonna see Demigod mods popping up just like that soon because of that comment just watch. It'll be the funniest game tweak ever.
I meant to forums I have subscribed to, the ones that show up in "My Posts" and "My Replies".
