do you get money for the trade ships arriving at other places, or just for having trade ports?

they were on one of my planets attacking me when my fleet arrived, all the sudden they did a "purple" jump away from the middle of the gravity well....they were TEC if that has anything to do with it but i can't seem to find that in their tree...is this a way of making hte AI harder or something else also whats a good strat for fighting unfair vasari on a medium map

quite often some of my units are "leaving" my fleet for no apparent reason...and it's only certain units..for instance the defense vessels and purge vessels,.i forgot what other units but it's usually only one type per race, 2 or 3 on the vasari. i'm assuming this is a glitch (i have latest patch according to impulse) and it's really annoying since i end up accidently leaving quite a few of my units behind.

from what i understand "Groups" are like in other RTS games and are just an way to access units easy using 1-0 keys, i usually just make a fleet and assign them to a number, i havnt played anything larger than 3v3 yet so i usually only have about 3 fleets
