First time in years I've had a prpblem with WB. Not loading to systray or holding applied blinds. Defaults to classic so I apply xp default ok. Any ideas - I am suffering withdrawal symptoms

Well well, I am having similar problems with disconnection when resources seem to drop. The system should have plenty of grunt. I have even dropped some system tray progs and IconX. Ouch! Can anyone comment on WC/Stardock program combinations that could hog resources? Don't get me wrong I love 'em all. I use IconX, WB5, Object Dock Plus, and Cursor XP. Thanks for some ideas to work on and getting the discussion started. As they say life happens.

OK, too much Christmas cheer. I had forgotten Object Dock. I know I hadn't checked the TB Hide but the TB and Start Menu manager appear to be fighting with OD. I'll keep an eye on it.

Thanks for the reply - at the moment I am just using WB5 - no trouble noted. I use IconX, Iconpackager and CursorXP. The TB comes up at startup and disappears quickly. The Taskbar and Start Menu Hide checks remain unchecked although it seems to default back to auto hide, when corrected nothing happens. I have installed new NVidia drivers (GeForce 6200) and really only had this after that time. I agree there seems to be some kind of program conflict. The cursor cannot bring the TB back. T

I know there are many reasons for this. All checks right, have even used a crepair tool. Starts to cone back then drops down. Does anyone think this could be a customization conlict. Merry Christmas.

OK - I'll start. I have been using FF for a long time. I have no complaints and it is great with many WB skins.

Lately I have not been able to see anything in the user account section of the xp control panel and the search panel. The border is there, the home/back buttons are there but just a blank background inside. In search, little mate (the dog) wags his tail and wants to help but no balloon. I reinstalled my graphics driver but that did not help. I don't believe it is a windowblinds (I also run other stardock products) problem. I must have something ch

I like it but then I have OD links on Object Dock Plus as well as other links so I probably won't wear both a belt AND braces. Interesting that it works like a dream on my work laptop but crashes on my home PC. I'll have to figure that one out. Stardock deserves good mag reviews.

I am back in the land of the living. I got a link to the Stardock uninstall zapper and took out DX3. Appeared to to the completer job. Reninstall, reboot and now some instability in a few widgets but my Tiggz favourites appear OK. Keep you posted. Thanks for your help.

to clwoods - thanks I think I'll look at other AV suites. Adam, are you talking about the SD uninstall feature? Tanks for your interest and help, I think the Stardock products are terrific so I am keen ti get DX3 working.

Thanks Rabidrobot, that does not seem to be the problem. Thanks to Xjennx. I am using Norton Systemworks 2004. I have had it recognise DX script before as malicious but as you say once allowed it is fine. I think Norton is having problems on my system as I cannot get to the script blocking to configure. I will look at it further as I think it is probably the right track. Anyone else have Norton problems? You are right about DX. So many good use

DX3 worked OK for a week and now crashes. Themes, widgets and objects do not load without crashing. Stardock advised uninstall, reinstall and reboot - still not working. All skins deleted in the the reinstall. A pity - I enjoyed the product. Any suggestions welcome
