I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1525, Vista Home Premium 32 SP1. My transition from logon to desktop is seamless but I'm getting the blackout and Microsoft symbol between bootskin and logon screen. Guess I'll have to wait for Windows 8 ( did I just say 8? where is my mind, I meant to type 18). Many thanks for your help Zubaz. Bootskin Vista still gets my thumbsup.
I'm currently trying out the free version of Bootskin for Vista and I'm impressed. I will certainly buy the full version when available for its Create and Upload functions. However I notice that the applied skin appears only for the duration of the replaced Microsoft load bar. Then a few seconds of blank screen followed by the Windows logo with jingle is displayed. Is it possible to extend the display of the applied bootskin until the Logon screen appears? Is this a Stardock or a Mi
Thanks for all your help guys. Gallery link is working.
When I select an item from a gallery I'm taken to the download page - the page displaying the item's preview image, red download button etc. Quite often a "More at my Gallery Link" or similar message is also shown, which when clicked takes me to the author's personal gallery. How can I set this for my items?
I downloaded and updated LogonStudio Vista via the Impulse program and had similar error message when Saving or using the Load function. I uninstalled LogonStudio from within Impulse then rebooted. Then ran CCleaner and then installed LogonStudio the old fashioned way i.e. from CNET Downloads. This is an earlier version and its working a treat. Seems to have all the features of the one from Impulse.
I uninstalled the BootSkin app, restarted then checked my Regional settings. Found that Language selected for non-Unicode under the Administrative tab was English Ireland. Changed this to English United States as advised and restarted. Downloaded the Bootskin app and now it works ok. Tried various skins and all being set ok - no more Microsoft Aurora screen. Many thanks Zubaz for pointing me in the right direction.
Many Thanks for your help Zubaz. Clicked your post but got Page cannot be found (HTTP Error 404). Will try it again later to see if its a temporary problem.
Downloaded the long awaited Vista Bootskin app. When I try to change the skin to e.g Space or Winter, it informs me new skin applied ok. But on restart the default Microsoft skin is replaced with the hidden (Aurora) skin. Any ideas anybody.
