I think that nearly all Americans (namely, everyone other than those employed by old energy interests, such as employees of oil companies) would love to have clean, affordable, and self-sufficient energy solutions. However, the proposed "green" solutions (wind turbines, geothermal energy, solar, hydroelectric) are limited and costly. The two big green energy sources, wind and solar, are significantly more expensive than

Empire Tree- Yay I've had a lot of difficulty with this in particular, since my mouse doesn't scroll with the Empire Tree. So when it bounces, I end up not being able to react fast enough and can really screw my plans over. XD I have really no decision on Fighters yet... I don't think they'll really be a viable LRF counter, considering how much more efficiently scouts and flak kill them off, but they should be worthy to build for other than bomber-killing.

What kind of games are you planning to play? For higher-definition ones, you'll need a higher-end laptop with around 4+ GB RAM. With games like SOASE, I'd recommend a general-area laptop, not a gaming one. I recently bought an HP laptop with 3 GB RAM, Radeon 4200 graphics card, and a 2.10 dual-core processor for about $550, and works wonderfully for most games. Also, make sure to look into Windows 7. HP and Asus are both great brands for laptops. Toshiba, Dell, and Acers aren't good,

You need to colonize faster and build a stronger fleet. Instead of a Kol Battleship, build an Akkan Battlecruiser; it's Colonize ability is faster than Colony Frigates and boosts your economy considerably. Try to just aggressively conquer planets before your enemies can get to them. The best way to defend a planet is with a fleet, and repair bays. They're both ultimately the cheaper and more effective way of defending a planet instead of turrets/hanger defenses.
All their capital ships aside from the Skirantra use them, though I have to agree that it should be tied with the disintegrator. I originally thought that Vasari Fighters should use pulse guns, but then that poses a huge problem for Vasari. Currently, every factions' Fighters have an area where
So, if vasari attack with fighters an advent should get fighters himself while if a vasari is being fighter rushed by an advent he should get flak. Is that correct?
In the first situation, the Advent player would be best off with Flak frigates. Usually, Fighter vs Fighter scenarios are the worst case, as it still takes Fighters time to kill off each-other, whereas enough Flak will disintegrate Fighter swarms. Having a Halcyon

Advent Fighters are the best SC for Fighter combat, with 9 Fighters per squadron. Each Advent Fighter has 40 HP and 1.5 DPS (Or 1 DPS, not entirely sure). Whereas TEC squadrons have only 6 Fighters, each with 75 HP and 2/2.5 DPS. In an actual Fighter-Fighter battle, Advent fighters are more likely to be the victors. Generally though, Vasari have the best SC for attacking frigates, because of their Phase Missiles and better durability (1 Vasari Fighter has 95 HP). Advent Bombers are ex

Yet another match from today. It's a very nice 4v4 that culmunated in an enormous SC battle involving 7 Halcyon Carriers. I can safely say it's the best game I've ever played. ^_^ http://www.mediafire.com/?yijrmwzrhxq

Siege frigates are largely still usually not worth using. If you need 2-3 extra units for planet bombing, then they're worth buying. Especially with Advent, whose Purge Vessels are the cheapest siege frigate, and their capital ships aren't great for bombing. TEC doesn't really need to use siege frigates, as buying a Marza with Raze Planet is usually far faster and cheaper than five siege frigates. And Vasari sieges are almost useless, because one Vulkoras is already the most efficient

He mercilessly berated a newb in game (when the guy really did nothing wrong), then when the guy quit because he didn't want to be subjected to it anymore, p5yy laughed and joked about it in game. Those levels are hacked. And the hacker obviously made them ridiculously difficult. It's a rather funny video though. ^_^ I'd like to see him play Kaizo Mario. ^_^
So what fleet would you use against this fleet?
Try Carriers with Bombers a try? They're actually fairly effective against LRFs, and Flak doesn't completely annihilate them like Fighters. I'd try a combination of Carrier/Flak/LF against this match-up. ^_^
Advent Beam Range boosts turrets, does it not? And anything that boosts the best frigate in the game is automatically not worthless. The others you mentioned are pretty bad too. Anti-matter upgrades are okay on huge maps when you can afford to get 6+ cap ships. It is simply not worth it in any average 3v3 or smaller as you are much better off getting hull, shield, and weapon upgrades that boost ALL your units.<br /

Here's a replay of a 3v3 I just played. It's on a Galaxyforge map, so you'll need to install the map pack to watch the replay. ^_^ http://www.mediafire.com/?nzgyzzemyak
first off for advent it's hard to argue against anything besides the progen as cap #1
The Halcyon Carrier also makes a good choice as a first cap, and it's becoming more common. When right next to an enemy, having the four SC can really make a difference. Though ultimately, I usually seen at first, ProgenxHalcyon in any order. ^_^ RapturexHalcyon is a combination that might be worth a look. Especially

It's like you guys have gotten so far into some awkward, arbitrary math-based world of concepts on what the units are you're no longer able to see what's blatantly obvious to the layman player. A point I also tried to make by posting that chart in reply #2: It's pretty, simple, really! I honestly hope the developers don't tak

It's possible TO didn't like religon and abolished it. The TO was allowed to attack pirates who raided them, th TO's response to the Vasari were frigates that were converted to fight pirates. Much like how the pirates converted the TEC ships into their own.
<p
