I'm sorry to insult your friends, but they suck. Erebus isn't that hard to beat. Now, it may have to do with me playing Erebus as well, but in games where I fight other Vampires, they end up being some of the best contributors to my kill count. You see, many a nublet hears that Bite is the be all-end all of skills, and thinks they'll be invincible with Erebus... a few games later, they realize just how much they suck. Erebus certainly isn't the hardest Demigod i

I'm not saying it invalidates your observations, they could be right on the money, but it takes conversation argument and peer review. It may be that those observations are correct, but you need more feedback to have everything that needs to be understood, understood. That was a crappy sentence.
I agree with what you are saying, but a lot
Being able to read a situation is far more useful then having the speed and never learning anything. I hardly use swift anklet on UB due to inner beast letting me keep up with regular enemy Demi-gods. Even If i'm slightly slower I just pick up the 1k boots. That combined with diseased claws makes demi-gods unable to run away from me. Combined with the fact i'm not going to put myself in a situation where I can't run away effectively. There's much more important favor i
May 14, 2009 19:01:41 No one said that the Restorative Scroll would make people immune to status effects, even suggesting is blowing the suggestion completely out of wack to give more favor to an argument that is straddling saturated earth. There already exists a favor item, so why not a normal item with similiar effects but has a cooldown, cast time, and price based on what would be rational. I'm not asking for a favor item to be purchasable and reuseable as a basic item,

I don't think people's depth with the game is there yet, it's difficult to even play a large game without technical issues. I can't imagine having enough experience to really criticize it, when technical issues bar some gameplay.
Besides the official games I've pla

UB will also benefit more from it because he has a higher base movement speed than most other demigods. People keep disagreeing but they don't even address the fact that OVER 80% OF PEOPLE TAKE IT. If you don't address that, your opinion really isn't valid. Prove 80% of people take it first. I very ra

Backdooring is fine. It was fine in DOTA too, but a lot of people whined about it because they would rather see big auto-attack numbers with their cheapass late game heroes than actually have to think about strategy. It's even more fine in this game because Cataract, for example, is specifically designed to allow you to take a risk to capture their Portals, capture lock them, and then teleport to safety. If they are smart, they'll teleport home and get a free kill as yo

Potions counter spit by healing the damage. Apparently players who primarily play other Demigods feel entitled to getting cheap potion replacements against UB just because. This is absolutely ridiculous. You don't get to completely disable a specific Demigod's best ability for pocket change in a balanced game. There's already an favor item which, while it does have a real oppurtunity cost to take it, is too good against UB. And that's precisely why people don't want to use it. Because they wa

I think a team vote based resign option should be available, and that any game that goes from all humans to humans on one side vs. all AI ought to end right away in victory for the human team. I don't actively dislike playing AI, but my team once made both members of a 2v2 team ragequit in 6 min, 24 seconds, so the whole rest of the game was just a 2 AI comp stomp.

I don't necessarily agree with your specific numbers, but the base idea is very solid. It makes one feeder not a near automatic game loss and encourages pressure on someone who is doing really well which will help challenge them.

My experience leads me to believe towers need to be modified a bit. I'd like to see the towers cut down to 1/2/3/4 towers or somesuch, but have them have more HP and more damage (perhaps not twice as much, but close). However, having his firepowerer concentrated in fewer towers would let Rook get them up faster and then be able to do more stuff. At least when I'm playing a tower centric Rook, I wistfully long to be doing stuff other than planting

I think you are right except the range of the spit seems a bit over the top. It just feels wrong for a mele only character to have such a range on their best attack. This I vehemently disagree with. All his other abilities are melee only, and he his slow is one of the least effective (in terms of % slow anyways, if not overall)

My reply to you, transitive, would be that pure counters are actually a bad thing. Since a player only gets one unit (well, plus some minions as a general) and cannot quickly change their strategy, anything which made Spit useless or nearly would be too good. It's important to recognize Spit is UB's only actual targeted damage (Grasp does damage, but in negligable amounts). A game like Demigod can't be Rock / Paper / Scissors, it has to be much more nuanced and with vas

I agree. From a completely armoral, self-interested point of view, since a winner can get up to 20x a loser, it makes sense to cut your loses. To maximize favor points per hour, you can afford to quit a half dozen games partway through as long as you end up getting a really high favor point total on the one you stay in and win. Now, anyone who does the above is an asshole, but I think it's important to set rewards systems to reward good behavior along with hoping people

To discuss the nerfs I would use: Bite: Remove armor debuff. Possibly increase cooldown by 1 second. Mist form: A higher cost to go into Mist (as it removes negative buffs and can dodge slow attacks, so even a single second in mist is often a couple hundred mana worth of value), and cooldowns are frozen while in Mist. Bat form: Reduce to 20/25/30 teleport.
