For the record, after the uninstall of windowblinds beta 2 and start11, and a reboot, all the startup programs once again run at startup. No explorer crashes. These are CursorFX, Razer Synapse, O&O desktop info, some widgets from MS Store, and GSkill RGB software.

Ok, ObjectDesktop repeatedly asking for a WB update. I am still getting crashes, and several programs that were running at startup with beta 1 will not auto start with beta 2. Only changes made today is beta 2 and everything was fine this morning. I figure the first response is gonna be, "Windowblinds would have no effect on startup programs." But it is. Now, with the stress of my son's illness, I will try to be patient,

Hmmm, well, for shits and giggles, I tried something. My PSU has an 8 pin and a 6 pin. I used an 8 pin extension on the 6 pin along with the 8 pin, and played the game with no issues. But since I already ordered the new PSU, I'll go ahead and use it when it gets here.

Guys, I need you once again. I was told today that my youngest son is in ICU and may not see the morning. It involves a stroke and a bad infection. He's in Virginia, so I haven't seen him. I'm told that if they have to intubate him tonight, he probably won't come off it. Prayers and vibes, thoughts, etc. needed.
The reason a card might have 2 cables is to increase power consumption [capacity]. The splitter simply halves what is needed to each so simply won't work at 'capacity'...instead the PSU will trip and shutdown totally...[e digicons];)[/e]
Pretty much what I thought was happening. I guess I need a new/better PSU.

Hey gamers! I have a gamer question. Ok, I have a graphics card that requires 2 x 8 pin cables. I only have one 8 pin on my PSU. So I bought a cable that splits one 8 pin into two 8 pins. It works fine until I play a game and then it shuts down my PC after just a few minutes. So, I ran a graphics card stresser, Unigine Superposition Benchmark which also shut down my PC. Is it because of the splitter? Do I need
The ideal world has skin authors creating dark mode images (and also high dpi images really). Then this help WB has to do is no longer needed.
Do the skinners know this? All that said, Neil, I know what I'm about to say isn't gonna scare Stardock in any way, but I will totally abandon Windowblinds if this isn't fixed in some way. Then, most likely, I would eventually drop Stardock altogeth

Just to reiterate, when you get beta 2 fixed, can you fix this? It really sucks. I mean no longer using Windowblinds kinda suck. The frames shouldn't change. I use dark mode "in windows" exclusively, and this is enough to cause me to abandon Windowblinds. Pretty sure I'm not alone.
11/01/2022 We have rolled back the Beta 2 build, reverting back to Beta 1, as we found some possible Windows Explorer Crashes with AMD video card PCs. I will say though that having uninstalled Start11 stopped my crashes. Ad

I have been having explorer crashes quite often on multiple rigs. It seems to be connected to having multiple Stardock apps running. These include WB11, Start11, WinFX, and CursorFX. Latest versions of each. CursorFX failed to load at startup, WinFX animations would freeze and crash explorer. I uninstalled all that and the issue is gone. Oddly, a few other apps like Razer Synapse and GSkill RGB ram app also failed to load at startup, but they are fine
