All you guys that find it normal for games to be broken on release are to blame in the end. It's because of you developers release unplayable games and get away with "we will fix it". So far I haven't been able to play a multiplayer game without waiting at least 30 minutes, and when it started, I got disconnected or another person did. Should I mention the constant freezes while playing multiplayer? The only way I could get into a proper multiplayer experience with this game is thanks

As far as I can tell, the pirated version is way better thanks to Gameranger, even if they play an older version. Until they properly fix the game, I'll be using gameranger, and if there won't be many people with legal copies on gameranger, I guess I'll download the pirated version and enjoy that. Just so sick and tired of excuses and interviews with the devs, blaming this and that. Rewrite the whole networking part and cut the bullshit. Do what Blizzard did, so what if those

To put it short: It's as it should have been from the first place. Start a lobby, get people in, start the game, everyone instantly connects. If there are yellow pings, reconnects as instant aswell. Once the game is started there are way fewer and shorter freezez, and people are more likely to stay till the end.

I used to curse Blizzard for their "it will be released when it's done" but since stable, playable games are a rare commodity these days, I totally agree with them. hold your tears pls. you shouldn't cry because of some first days with
What is with all the blizzard fanboyism around here? Even with their significantly bigger infrastructure and budget, they still release games that are broken on release, even with their "it'll be done when its done" mantra, they release things that dont work. Every damn significant WoW patch they bring out seems to crash every single server, or cause catastrophic damage. Give Stardock a break already, I think they get the point that y

There's no obvious tell that the logo is actually a button.

You have to, but just use the static assignment. Give the same ip to your machine as the one used to forward traffic to, my case is 192.168.0.2. There's a drop down there where you can select your machine's mac address, the router should be aware of it by now. In the end you should have something like this Going to sleep now, hope it fixes your problem.

My rage quiting is understandable. Wait 30 minutes to start a game, finally get inside, one or two people leave, ok, AI takes over, there's plenty of us inside to continue. But then I get phonecalls, places to be, people to see so yeah, I rage quit cursing everyone for that 30 minutes wasted. My concern is of the future. P2P doesn't allow for proper control over cheaters. I see big problems for this game when that time comes.

If this help you in any way. I have the same router. Didn't do any DMZ, just forwarded UDP/TCP traffic to my machine on ports range 6100-6200. Make sure your machine is assigned a static address to make the forwarding work. Haven't done any firmware upgrades for the router either. Eastern Europe here. And a few screenshots from the router config: [IMG]http://img23.imageshack.

I don't get this. You say p2p is best for lag, but since so many people have problems connecting, I prefer some lag over not being able to play at all. Second, there's no way you can properly control cheating with p2p connections. When we'll get to that bridge, things will start to smell really bad. Third, I don't have all the time in the world to wait 30 minutes to start a game and when it does, 2-3 people leave... I've had better luck with skirmish but custom gam

I don't really understand why you can't do this yourself? Impulse is not available in your region? If it isn't are you sure it will work if somebody sent it to you?

I do NOT want to install the game on the System partition. I spefically installed the stupid impulse app on a different drive because I thought it will install the game there too. Guess what. It didn't, and now I have the f**king game (which I cannot use for multiplayer after that patch, thank you) on my System's drive. I didn't find any option to relocate it, neither did the installer ask me where do I want to install it. Very close to asking for a refund here. Fanboys, SHUT

Oy, it said a new update is available, it installed it, I started the game, tried to connect to a custom game but failed and found only one but players got bored before everyone shook hands and I went back to the main menu. Tried to get into internet multiplayer again and now it said I needed to update. Grrrrr, quit demigod, quit impulse, started again and now it doesn't recognize my password. Wow! The retrieve button does nothing and there's a major freeze when I click login...
