I got one item and -8xx favor points. Luckily its the only item I really need atm. Just do what you can with your points and wait for a fix.

Couple days ago I would of agreed with you, but if your having that bad of problems at this point I'd say the litmus paper just turned green which means you failed the network connectivity test. Goodbye.
Tutorials are for noobs, stories are for books. Granted, if I were making this game I would have made a tutorial knowing full well that many players are in fact noobs.
I enjoyed this, but the part about wasting 2 hours getting it to work I think was a mistake. More like 10. For me it does work now, but getting into a game is still kinda slow like molasses going up a hill. Connecting to each player in the lobby take like 15 seconds each, then you often have 2 people not connecting so one has to rejoin. Takes like 5 minutes to get a game going in ideal conditions which seems a bit off. Beats 10 hours of glitchy m
The disconnected from nat facilitator message means your either getting kicked or you have a problem on your end. I had this before updating my router firmware. Given you can't get into a game in 2 hours, I'm gonna say you probably need to fix some settings in order to get into games. Try connecting the internet cable directly to your pc and see if that makes an improvement. My bet is that it will, and that will prove that you still have some things to figure out on yo
Well, it looks like Demigod turned out to be a so-so game. Bad launch... Broken multiplayer, broken bots in singleplayer, no campaing, bad reviews, etc. etc. I can think of SO MANY THINGS I would add into the gameplay right now. For some reason I think Stardock is just lazy. Having all these issues and bad AI, I just question myself: what are you guys doing in there? Personaly I would be happy to spend my whole day working t
Maybe he's like Neo and he can see the code and has a deeper understanding than us regular folk. Brb gotta put away all the expensive cutlery.
Throwing up a sticky about the dir-655 firmware issue would be a good move too imo. It took me a day to figure it out, and then a few hours to figure out that my A4 revision was not backwards compatible but that I could use the newest beta firmware which fixed the issue. It's a popular enough router that it deserves some sticky imo.
Just updating this: Today, it seems my network is now being flooded by Pirates. Every time I logged in to get a game going, I've had people with bootleg copies trying to setup games and asking me to host. Really, I'm not a morale cop and I can give a crap less if you bootleg or not. I've done my share of bootlegging games in my time; so I'm really not a clean nosed upstanding individual. I will say, however, I blow my cash on
I disagree, a game should be reviewed as is, on release. If they release a game like this, they should get slammed for it. So then the next time they release a game they will do it properly. You never learn unless your hand is slapped. If everyone is all nice and sympathetic the system just gets worse and worse and worse until it eats itself .
This makes a lot of sense, if your trying to teach a dog not
Last I played was maybe 12 hours ago, and I was able to join games and play games but it took a little longer than I'd like to get in and it seemed the odds of some/all the players in the game disconnecting midgame are around 50/50 for me. If you can't connect to any games at all, it's safe to say it's a problem on your end, as the servers are working, albeit far from optimally. You should post more information about your hardware and what problem you are experiencing.
Updating the firmware of my dir-655 router to 1.22 (beta) fixed this for me. The 1.21 simply will not work even with all the settings correct, while 1.11 and 1.22 beta work fine. If you are sure you've got your ports forwarded properly, you may wanna check out for firmware updates for your router on the official support site for it.
300 games of DOW2 in a week?? You could make a lot of money in the mmo gold farming community, based partly on your lack of a requirement for sleeping.
mcbond, I had the same error and found it was an issue with my router's firmware. I have a dir-655 and updated from 1.21 to 1.22 beta firmware and do not receive the NAT facilitator message anymore, and am able to connect to games and play. That said, it still takes a lot of trial & error, time, and patience to get into a working game, and once there, it takes a lot of luck to not have 1 or all players drop and be exchanged for ai's. I'm frustrated, but I'm gonna be as p
Alright, I updated to the new beta firmware, 1.22 and it fixed everything. If you have revision A3 use 1.11, A4 use 1.22 beta firmware. Excellent. http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r21989347-DIR655-NEW-Firmware-ver-122-b05-wsecurespot
I get this error every time.. I connected my pc directly to the modem bypassing the router and I was able to connect fine. Unfortunately, I believe the problem is on our end.
First off, connecting the dsl modem directly to my pc allows me to join games perfectly. I cannot join games through the router, which is a dlink dir-655 (rev A4 firm 1.21, can't use 1.11 which some recommend). (pic of trying to join a game http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/7550/broken1.jpg ) I've used the reactor.exe to set NAT to use default ports (<a href="http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/6051/broken3z.j

It appears to still be down. That's a good thing. Means fixes are incoming.
It's 8:00.. do you know where your kids are?
It's a sick game, just give it a few days. I'm frustrated as hell too but the game's got a lot of potential.
So... You are upset that You who patched the game can't play LAN with people who didn't patch the game?
More accurate would be I'm upset that I can't play with people who did update the game and I'm NO LONGER able to play with people who didn't update the game. I can still play over hamachi with legit updated players, but those hamachi servers are hard to come by, usually have 15 persons / server, and simply don't compare. &nbs
The patch did nothing to hamachi connectivity, but it did make it so people with the original version of the game cannot connect to me and vice-versa. These people are not my friends, they are randoms from a variety of well populated hamachi servers I've been playing on since last night. The point of my post was to express my frustration with the fact that the new patch didn't fix the online play, while simultaneously ruining what online play I did have going with hamachi. I
Dota has more than 18 heroes per side. closer to 50 or 60 per side. I definitely agree that Demigod should have added heroes and continuous balance patching in order to be awesome. If it stagnates then it will definitely go downhill.
He should be out canvassing for the church of gods, asking for PC donations to help spread gods to the masses. I'm talking about servers of course. With enough pentium 3 compaqs and hps pretending to be servers we'd all be playing lagless 5v5 and everyone would be happy. Gamestop played dirty and now we have to show everyone you can't outsmart stardock. That would be my take on it anyhow.
