Since yesterday, it seems Stardocks servers have been in bad shape. It has been taking an extra long time to log in and host a game. Also, many games have been dropping all players. I am even having a hard time getting Stardock's page and forums to load. Anyone know what's going on?

As the DotA community found out, in order to fully enjoy this style of game, you must keep certain people from your games. In style of DotA, Demigod also needs a Banlist. One intergrated into the game. So as I sit and wait minutes upon minutes for a game to start, we're down to waiting for the last player to join. A player, disliked by the host, joins the game and the host kicks him... player rejoins... host kicks him... player rejoins... host kicks him... player rejoins..

I feel if someone leaves a game, and it isn't due to some kind of connection issue (they click the leave game button), that they should suffer a penalty for the start of the next game they play. Penalty will be removed soon as they finish out their next game until the end. While I do not feel the penalty should be something huge that will effect their team play overall, I do feel it should be something at least annoying enough to make the player not want to receive penalties fro

So I was in this game earlier, and we were totally getting owned. The enemy team was at our front gates, bashing our towers, we kept gettin' pushed back, a few of my teamates got killed in the process. The outcome looked grim... I even stated that we were done for. But y'know what, our game had no leavers!! Although even I was sure we were going to lose, we managed to turn the tables. Two upgrades later and a little bit of pushing, we completely turned the game

Hey there Void, I remember you from a previous game... similiar nicks and all! Fraps is crap. I'm on a nice system, E8400, SATA drives, HyperX ram... well, even my system is a bit dated now, being just about a year old... but fraps still runs like crap on it. I'd actually suggest a better program. Try one by CamStudio, which is pretty good. http://camstudio.org/ I use theirs over Fraps... plus it is free. I do not know if it works with games tho. >
I keep seeing things like "forward ports 6000-6200" or "6100-6200" or such. Why so many ports? If you open up the ImpulseReactorOptions.exe and set the ports you're going to use it only needs a range of 20. (I currently have it set to use 6122-6142 and am forwarding those ports) I have a second computer hooked to my router which I use to play on battle.net or other places that use 6112-6119, which I have b

Hey Chaosnaska,
Honestly, and you all might not believe me, but the best thing for a noob is to let him noob it up and die a bunch. That way, he LEARNS. Don't coddle him, or make him less desirable to be killed, because truth be told, he NEEDS to die to learn.
The problem with this, is the fact that people only go "you suck" "stop sucking" or "just leave the game." They, for the most part, will not take any effort into helping another player out or giving

Everything listed here is just what I have personally noticed, and makes joining/starting games a bit more easier. In order to play a game with the least amount of lag, try following these steps. #1) If you have a Router (Hardware) you are running your internet connection through, be sure to open up your ports. Think the manual says something like 6100-6200?? Someone can correct this. Anyways, you need to open ports starting at the minimum of 6073. In my
Hi guys, I spend a lot of time reading through the forums and one of the things that's really starting to concern me is the hostility to the community towards those who don't share the same points of view. That is, intolerance for other view points. I would ask that you really try to restrain yourself from flaming other people. It's okay for someone to think something is unbalanced or what the game should be more like some other game. If that

Aye, you SmellyIrishMan, you're right. They shouldn't have left to begin with... but in order to keep a game going, instead of everyone just quitting, there should at least be a compromise... otherwise, what reason is there to stay, especially, if you know the outcome of the game? If all they wanna do is wipe the floor with you, then everyone mise well go look for another game. IMHO

What is that called in MMO's, Rez sickness? Where if you get ganked after reviving, the player killing you receives 0 Exp and 0 Gold. That is the only kind of system I could see being implemented... where a timer is put on you from the killing player, or some similiar kind of system. Perhaps something more progressive... such as when a player kills you a 2nd time, they get less Exp and less gold from the kill... 3rd time, even less, 4th time, even less, and they will have to

The AI are the ones who charge right through the enemies and up to their towers, where they will die nearly instantly from the creeps, towers, and of course, after the 3 Demigods they ran thru all turn around for the easy kill. Your AI should be easy enough to spot. With AI on yer team, sometimes yer like [e digicons]X([/e] but other times, watching them makes ya more like [e digicons]:D[/e] , except for when

Why do people get leavers in games? One simple answer... cause they are stupid! Here is the game I left, even after warning. We start the game with myself (Sedna), an Oak, and a Regulus, all on Dark, vs. the Light team, with 2x Regulus' and a Sedna. Now, playing vs. 2x Regulus is bad enough, especially when they are both sitting there sniping the exact same target at the exact same time (perhaps on a lan?). So our Oak is kind of feeding. He isn't n00b

Just played Oak... got whooped with him as well. So I tried taking out the Queen with Oak, and couldn't scratch her... yet in my game, Oak seemed to have constantly taken out my shield in 1 blast with his nuke... so hmm... I can't blast the shield in one shot when I play Oak but when I play the Queen my shield drops instantly... W T F ?????

Ugh, played Erebus again tonight and got whooped badly... oh so badly... probably my worst game yet with 0 kills and 6 deaths. Umm, 4k HP and he died in like 2 hits... There has to be some secret or some setup, cause I have seen him rock in games. Everytime I play him I just end up dying and dying and dying again. I hit for like 150 damage and get hit for like 1,000... he just seems to suck up to much mana to be strong with DPS... but I can't seem to improve his atta

Wow, I live in Michigan too... what do you know, this state is actually good for something. You have given me one reason to be glad to say I live in Michigan now... to bad there are still about 50,000 reasons to hate living in this state. ;-/

I'm a huge fan of MoM, and it rates up there in my top 10, along with X-COM:TFTD. I've owned MoM on 3.5's and still have the game on CD. It is one of those games that ,even after a decade, even tho it is an old DOS game and cannot compare in graphics or multiplayer like todays games can, it is still one of those games I keep around and still play. It seems that even time cannot take away the fun of MoM. Even with the bugs, it has to be one of the best games ever!&nbs
