I've noticed this as well. There appears to be a space requirement from the edge of a lane for placing towers. To give a visual idea of far the gap needs to be, on some of the maps there are edgings to the lanes - such a different brick work or tiles - placing towers on this edging will cause the Rook to abort however placing inside the edging will be fine. There is also most definately a minimum range. What I'd love to see is, not only a minim

I'm seeing simillar problems myself, both online and offline. Mid-game I'll encounter a 5-10 seconds pause where the game won't respond at all. After the pause has ended the game continues, however if I'm online I'll be disconnected (everyone replaced by AI opponents). I've ruled out system error on my end, as the game runs fantastic without any slowdown at all and this problem only occurs in games longer than 20 minutes or so. I haven't figured out any way to prevent this problem, ev

This might sound weird, but I think there should be two demos and neither of them should have online connectivity. Games like Counter-Strike survive because they're fun - yet do you see a Counter-Strike demo floating around? There's good reason for that - people could simply play that demo over and over and 'enjoy' the game. They're not missing out on story components, and denying them things like Favour items and purchasable items in game is simply going to create a lop-sided situation where

In my some what limited experience, once some people see that Sedna is with them they charge blindly into the stupidest of circumstances expecting that Sedna is going to some how magically heal their way through it. It's quite annoying.

The game works for you (yay!) and as such your actually able to focus on several large and frustrating bugs that have been discovered in the game. Your also able to focus some of your attention of features you'd lik

They're not up yet - there will be a Journal about this when it's completed. Right now, they're implementing fixes that stop in-game disconnects during multiplayer games while they test the Proxy setup to ensure it's going to scale a lot better than their previous setup which was the major cause for it's failure. Hang in there, it won't be long now.
To prove that it's stolen income, you need to prove that every downloaded copy is one lost sale. A claim that has been thoroughly debunked so good luck with that.
Ah yes, the exact letter of the law. It's not wrong because the law doesn't identify digital material as physical objects because the laws pertaining to the theft of such things were written in a time when the term digital didn't exist. If the law doesn't identify

I understand that, it's part of Stardock's reasoning and I agree. My point is the people who download the game for free are stealing the game whether they were hypothetically going to buy the game or not if piracy was not an option.
You probably have a very unique definition of stealing because that's not it. When you can prove that a file downloaded is a sale lost then you can talk about stealing.
People have a profession. Their profession produces a product. This product contains features that require purchase. They sell their product to their customers. Other people acquire their product without purchasing it. They search and

The people, such as those at Stardock and GPG, who make retail games spend years crafting their titles. The amount of work that goes into a game these days is phenominal. Having those people work so hard for so long only to download their game and not pay for it is stealing . People who steal are, guess what, thieves! He's right on the money. And being "offended" by Pirates being called thieves demonstrates you have no idea why the word Pirate was coined to describe these people in th

In my opinion the Xbox 360 is the console of this generation. It has a large library of quality games and through the wonders of Xbox Live you also have access to a lot of great, smaller games like Braid (which is also available through Impulse) and re-releases of games such as Banjo-Kazooie and even some Xbox Originals. And, of course, the downloadable content, which is becoming one of the 360's best selling points. It also does other great things besides games - it supports iPods and i

What type of 3D card do you have, what Sound Card and Audio Drivers do you use, do you have problems with other games and when you say shut down do you mean the PC closes down in an orderly manner, like restarting or such, or does it just freezes and locks up? There could be a few ways to fix this, however I can't honestly say until I have more information.

They're concentrating on getting the multiplayer part working first, bugs and glitches will be addressed once the large majority of players can connect to one another. The Alt+Tab crash is recognised and has had several posts made about it however to my knowledge there is no fix. Using other methods for contact, such as the Impulse chat system, is the only work-a-round as it removes the need to Alt+tab. Best of luck guys!

An interesting strat I've used once or twice is to actually let the other team take the Neutral Portal Flags at the beginning of the game. This feeds me and my team slightly more Gold and XP early game which helps get us ahead from the start, and the damage caused to your towers / fortresses is minimal at best by the additional creeps. Once your a level or two up on the other team, pushing them back a little isn't terribly difficult, and you'll be able to Capture the Flags and attack their si

RTS games and any game styled after RTS games will fail to work on any console that does not allow the use of a Keyboard and Mouse. Period. Halo Wars was not a successful example of RTS games done on consoles - it was a pathetically simplified RTS game that was successful because of the word "Halo" and it was slightly less worse than the rest of the RTS games released on consoles. Trust me. I bought Command and Conquer 3 on the Xbox 360 and I've regretted that decision every da

I think the idea of a Pirate-style Demigod is not only interesting and unique, it's also fantastically fitting for the trouble caused to the game during the first few days and I think a definitive must-have. Captain Krew (Krew being Polish for Blood) would a humourous General Demigod rather than serious stylings of the others, and would be modelled more on LeChuck from The Curse of Monkey Island than the likes of Captain Jack Sparrow. He would be an Undead Pir

I came across a lot of this type of behaviour during my time in competitive Quake 3, Counter-Strike and Starcraft. Most of these players are young, immature children, playing games well above their age bracket, who think calling someone 'Gay' is the funniest thing in the world. These are children who have access to an unmonitered internet connection and usually able to play for extended periods of time. The freedom of anonmity is something they abuse because at their age all th

The loss of Favour points and the resetting of your achievements is a known bug, and it currently being worked on. I too have experienced this, and it's quite frustrating. If you'd like a refund, by all means contact Stardock and request one. However, this problem will be fixed in the near future - Stardock and GPG's priorities however are in making sure everyone can play online. Then the bugs and glitches get fixed. Annoying, I know, however I can understand why they've made the

Demigod on the Xbox 360 would be difficult to control - 4 abilities? 4 items? minions? The buying and upgrading interface alone would be a nightmare! Demigod would also then become playable only for North American gamers, or gamers playing non-english versions of the game thanks to the Match Making system employed by Xbox Live. With the exception of Halo 3 and CoD:WoW, which use location as the priority for their games, match making fails to deliver anything other
