What is a G15 keyboard ? If it works on a Windows XP machine should work with GCII ?
Technician
I read a paper once that explained that it should be possible for Aliens to evolve on a planets without an Oxygen-Nitrogen based atmospehere. I guess in GC they are call Space Sharks
If I say the number of Habitable planets I want is rare. I expect one or two habitable planets. If say abudant almost every planet I see should be habitable. There is nothing random. If you have a random chance say 66% which I think is too low ...I selected an abudant number of planets, most systems have say 5 planets so you should have 3 habitable planets. This does not happen most systems have 0 habitable planets, and if you are lucky one marginal planet.
Not sure but you maybe Evil
Is it just me or is some more tweaking going to happen. I selected I want an Abudant number of Habitable planets and I do not get them ? Got one a Sol, and a neighbough Star had one marginal class 10 planet. Huge map, Latest Beta.
Seems okay to me, but it be likely tweaked. The cost of upgrading older ships costs is expensive today to the point that it is often cheaper to scrap old ships and build new ones. Should be the same in a space strategy game, upgrading should not be cheap. Allow players to upgrade at small fraction of the cost of new ship is not realistic and led into exploits.
I played both games. Yes I think the AI in Galciv II will be stronger.
Planetary Invasion more than one turn ? Why can not an invasion happen in one turn ? A turn equals one month. If Aliens do exist "and No I do not want to get in that debate" could not a Alien fleet conquer Earth in one month ?
You can back up your game or just download it again from Stardock Central.
I wonder if it also depends on the Difficulty of the AI and the Invasion techs you research. Seems ok to me.
Legend you are going to make me blush
Colony eating space crystal !!! Great idea
Die Shark Die
Long thread, I not sure what Stardock has in mind for minor races but I have just one thing to point out. Minor races in GC1 could never become a major power at least in larger maps, they could only colonize an adjacent sector which meet in most case they only ended up with a few planets. Only in the really old builds of GCI were minors allowed to become a major power. They were good for getting early game trades but other major races always ended out taking them
Many people may find adding too much micromangement is more of a bore than fun. I rather manage lots of planets myself and leave the micromanagement of ships and planets to automation.
I think that maybe something happens to influence measurement, I played a game yesterday got warning that I had 0 influence and suggested I build cultural starbase the problem id I dominated the map. I think maybe influence is going so high that some sort of overflow happens and it is reported wrong, saved a game, just in case.
The order of races I also noticed backword, not everything.
The GNN Report lists 3 civilizations Terran should be number one in the game I am playing but the summary shows humans in last place.
Got a crash when a constructor ran into an anomaly
Well I am not willing to download any driver not approved by Dell. Dell has not updated the Drivers for my laptop in ages.
News "The Core" is running a caption contest until Friday. You may win a prize, but time is running out.
Cool.....
I like Epcot but do agree it is a bummer more attractions are not open. Want a bad park Animal Kingdom, NOT AZOOOO give be a break. Do Dinasaur, Bug's Life, maybe the Satari and Lion King and I am out of there. The n
OS/2 still have machine with OS/2 and Galciv in the basement. Lack of applications and IBM poorly supported OS/2 is what finally finished the OS.
