plz note how this is not a standard rts and you dont manage your macro/micro as much , starcraft is superior to the game made with a lot of different pros/cons to each unit and a huge amount of strats applied to each race ... its also superior due to player skill having more of a say in the game ... and after all this 2 more races in starcraft that was balanced would have made it into an even better game Nice try, but you
the 8 demigods in this game is very well made ... but its not gonna be enough in the long run , theyre gonna need more and it cant take 4 months between each patch That doesn't change the fact that dota heroes are just a pot of linear heroes who were only designed for one real purpose without much flexibility in their play style. Demigod could very well go on with just 8, it's only you who would rather
It seems clear that in matches between organized teams Rook's ability to establish battle lines, support weak lanes, and create structrues that allies can warp to defines where fights happen. Towers are his defining feature, no one else has anything that is similar in effect. I'm not sure where he will evolve beyond that - I didn't play in the beta - but I have trouble imagining any 4v4 or 5v5 team that does not include Rook. [/quo
The character selection for demigod doesn't have to be as big as dota's. For one, the heroes in dota are VERY linear, and have very few ways they can be played, because they only have a few skills that all get leveled up to max in the end. The only thing that defines their gameplay is gear. Demigods on the other hand, are VERY, VERY versatile. Every demigod can be played in many different ways, have much more skills to invest in, and at the
1. Your character selection is very small. For this type of game, it really should be much larger or at least twice it's size so that it doesn't feel like it's bland after playing it for several days. It almost reminds me of the original Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter which is not a good thing since this is supposed to be something much better. Using your 'logic' I can say that Starcraft is boring and sucks co
and subtlesalmon ... dota has to many heroes ? thats just absurb ... dota does not have to many heroes , and the playable list is even less , sure getting into dota might be a bit harsh , but i think alot of players just like the diversity ... were gamers , gamers like more weapons , cooler bazookas , more deadly characters and things that make you think wow ,... thats just awesome ( yes i play rook from time to time just to hear the Boo
regulus this , regulus that ... regulus has ok early game ... awesome lategame...... IF you get to farm, anyways , ub spit rush lvl 4 is as said before the best harass in game , 2x spit lvl 2 and 1-2 hits will kill alot of demigods ,, if your up against sedna go swap lanes with someone shes a bad matchup if you dont have the level advantage.
wow dont rant the guy down man ... 1: maps are hard to make: trust me map dudes are pretty much insane when doing details , sure we would miss out on some background looks pherhaps , but the best maps usually come from map makers 2: there are enough heroes: wow its not even close to enough heroes , 15-20 and i would agree , its a good start . the 8 there are are all very we
start out with scaled helm(+ mana +mana regen is important) + 2x telescrolls + 15% movespeed circlet(favor) and go take a tower + wave (hammer 1 hit wave) now your level 2. 1:hammer slam 2: archers 3:tower 4:slam 5: lazer/tower/boulder (depending on game) 6: see 5 but make sure you have lazer 7: hammer slam 8: tower/catapult 9: make sure you have boulder else get more towers/up damage if pushing 10:
Quoting RavineLP, reply 6 Hi there. I bought Demigod 3 or 4 days ago, and i'm really enjoying it : the overall feeling is great, and the demigods are really fun to play. However, i've noticed some lacks, or "that'd be great if..." stuff. I guess it's the right place to talk about that so, let's go. Disclaimer : i'm not the kind of "Do it like i said because it sucks right now" guy, and english is not my native langu
Erebus has "invincible" mode which is mist form. He can bat swarm you, then bite you, then mist you (without taking ANY damage), until bat swarm and bite are ready again. What makes him overly powerful is while in mist form you can't kill him. I think one of two things should happen. His recharge time on mist should be much longer, as in 10-12 seconds till he can use it again, or the cost mana per second should be doubled.<b
a. Scroll of rebound. $250. Upon use any spells cast on that player or area around player within the following 2 seconds are rebounded upon the caster. b. Ring of rebound. Instant cast time. Upon use,
just wanted to point out that im one of the guys who have zero connection problems , or well close to it anyways have timed out 3-4 times in lobby for custom games , 1 time ingame and can always connect to all people except the ones having troubles with others. takes me 5 min max to get a pantheon/skirmish game going (although i dont feel like playing against bots anymore so stopped playing that) . the biggest issue i have is the ranking/pantheon system whic
spit on ub as well as someone noted out , 2x times today i went for blink/spit/drain combo and he was standing there in tower range like a retard
imo anklets , banded armor and scaled helm ( or whatever the 525 mana helm costs) , takes a few secs extra but well worth it , your fast enough to get the boots later and you have a more staying power/harass opportunities in lane =)
first 10 times i clicked it i stood still cause i thought ii was channeling for sure , then i tried and whoopidoooda its even more insane
is there any1 here who plays dota ? ... ever wondered why they nerfed bottle into oblivion and its still the most used item more or less ? , to regen mana and get into combat again is its biggest benefit , get 2 steps ahead of the person chasing you , pop it 5 3 secs later they turn , 6 secs later they die , its as easy as that. and so much staying power you never need to go back again. and a pushing tool aswell , charge the tower until you get low on hp ,
heart is op though gief heart nerf
Hi! I just got the game a bit ago and am having a blast. My playstyle lends itself more towards a supportive role than the Assassin types. I've tried out and done some research on the Generals but most players seem to do one or both of two things: 1) Abuse the Buy/Resell exploit for tons of minions at the beginning. 2) Play their General like an Assassin, not focusing on minions at all. <br
tbh ... heart , is too powerful for its cost , on all heroes . its a bottle on crack , im suspecting a nerf in 2-3 days
its not about him always dying alot its about game balance ... to make it competetive you cant make it that random , does 3 lucky ganks seal a game totally that would be lame
theyre being pretty casual about it right now ... im guessing they will "sell"/give away new characters / maps to play that you need to have impulse installed for later on ... so then your going to need the serial numbers to play with these characters/on these maps
randoming in dota... and other rts as well is a fun factor ... not always a good thing to have it but yes its a MUST factor
