when a core mechanic of the main game, favor points and items, is still horrendously broken.
Since when is favor points a core mechanic of the game? Yes, they are handy. Do you absolutely need them to play? thats a big NO! besides, since everyone has them reset now, no one can really complain about unbalance issues
Dont buy reinforcment damage/health upgrades early game If you do, your troops will push past the enemies, and run right up to that first wave of towers, and die. If your oponents have upgraded health/repair, this isnt helping anyone. except that is, for the enemy demigods waiting at the towers to pick off your reinforcments for easy experience. Now you have a situation where your reinforcments are being delivered to your enem
Yeah and please remove multiplayer while at it, coz everyone knows the net is lagging us all...
uh... rook is the slowest of them all. it doesn't matter how much speed gear you put on it, someone else is always going to be faster (specially UB) Really? The in-game laws of physics clearly define that rook is always 10% slower no matter what items? I need to see when they implemented this, because my experiences greatly differ from yours.
Assuming someone else may have the same speed items as well,
skill level affects it, cit upgradesdont. by the way, search is your friend: Rook Towers - Citadel Tower Upgrades Do building upgrades affect Rooks Towers of Light ?
-Early game, rook tends to lack any of the abilities needed to go head to head with other demigods.
I might disagree on this slightly. early rook with some towers can pretty much hold position vs melee DGs, as they will be taking extra damage. most won't try to come near for more than a few seconds, except probably the UB with its high armor and spit.
majority of people leaving for me have been in absolute end for me with less then 1 minute to win. they would have gotten small amount of favor for staying seconds but they leave becuse they dont want a "lost game" more favor will still give them the lost game.
i think stats wise, it currently doesnt make a difference - afaik you still get the FP when the AI takes over...
Erebus isnt unbeatable, just way OP... take it with high mana regen to an enemy citadel and max mist on.... your friends will thank you!
your speed has not helped you outrun that stone being hurled at your demigod, stunning him and allowing a rook to hammer you ass an inch deeper into the ground.
have you seriously ever used boulder + slam on a fast human player? the chance of hitting is close to nil. boulder roll stun is too short, and hammer slam is too slow. combine the two and you have failing combo, unless the enemy DG is standing right in front of you!

i have said this a few times but... 1) cit upgrades 2) cit upgrades 3) cit upgrades 4) ??? 5) win on all modes but slaughter you just CAN'T fail
Rook can quite possibly meet both the movement speed and attack speed cap with the correct build and gear. He is a much stronger late-game force than the UB can ever hope to be.
uh... rook is the slowest of them all. it doesn't matter how much speed gear you put on it, someone else is always going to be faster (specially UB) As for late game, i find it to be quite strong (mostly for the tower spam and huge melee damage) but still with the same pr
Typically when I lose I get 10-25 favor points. That's not worth staying in the game for.
I get about 40-50 on average, most i think was 75. from there to 100 isnt that much...
Not game related, but in having the password stored as cleartext in Game.prefs is just plain wrong...
easy formula for tournament - on all modes but slaughter, don't forget to: 1) buy citadel upgrades 2) destroy towers 3) win most people seem to not care about cit upgrades but those are what make a win or loss
If a player quits, he or she gets no favor. That way, there is a real incentive to stay in the game.
I definately sign to this, too many players quitting early game (even on 1st death) so anything that helps keeping people in game is welcome.
best tips ever: 1) try not to die 2) dont quit 3) learn from mistakes 4) citadel upgrades are there for a reason - use them when possible.
uh I did try speed on the rook but its just not doable. it doesnt matter how much speed buffs you put on it, someone else is ALWAYS going to be faster (like the UB) Hammer slam and boulder roll are not exactly a great weapon vs demigods, unless you get lucky (way too slow) but are great for creeps - both of them. The way i see it the rook is definately not a DG killer, but it does a great job of controlling an area - if properly supported by team it will just roc

But what that will do is alter Demigod from a peer-to-peer game to a quasi-client-server game that maintains the peer-to-peer performance. Sorry to say this, but in-game latencies are about 150% to 200% higher than "regular". And a question for anyone able to answer, why is a "NAT facilitator" needed even for those whitout routers? Anyway, i see things improving, just hoping they improve a lot :)
