Decloaking the mines let's the other player know they are there, and thus prepare for the damage, avoid them, or wait for the next wave of creeps to mow them down. Invisible mines are usefull for damaging unsuspecting opponents, while visible mines are good for creating a tactical environment. Allowing them to be summarily destroyed takes away from that tactical advantage. Mines are already being used like hand grenades.. let's not encou

...erhm, he never said the game was balanced yet... I don't care how much this game is similar to DotA. I've played a lot of DotA and I'm sick of it. If this game goes DotA-style ex. with the terrible deny'ing of creeps, I'll sue someone...anyone! Too many heroes, the weirdest item-upgrade system I've ever seen (who combines swords, boots and a hat into a weapon?) and I must admit I'm getting pretty fed up with the graphics. WC3 is fine for tower defenses, but for wagin
Tested it...omg dude, i've played 2 characters a lot and I've yet to have one match be anywhere near similar to the previous one. 1 or 2 changes in the build, and you have an entirely different strategy to go on. The diversity is there, you just have to get to know the characters. Did you even phathom the favor items at all?
Yeah, I like that it's a teameffort every time. The guy who gets the most kills, is just the guy who upgrades the units. Sucks to be him :D
I think it'll come, but let's face it. It's not a priority right now. I just hope the frog takes notes :)
We LOVE the status reports!! Your support is phenomenal. And just to bring a little sunshine: I played 5 successful matches without a hitch last night. There was a bit of lag in the first match, but one had horrible ping. This made the game resync once in a while, but nowhere near unplayability. It was more like convenient pauses, in that everyone stood still and could do nothing. Sort of like bullettime, for 2 seconds every 5 minutes or so :P What I'm trying to say is, my onl
Hahaha yeah, well, I guess all characters have some feature the other guys just love to hate. The undying healer-chick, the burrowing and very "productive" fan-service faerie, the flick-shot sniper, the 5000rpm meatgrinding beast, the stunning Mr. Fahrenheit, the allpowerful Alcatrazman, the lightning-fast curser of blood, and the cheesy hit-and-run-guy.
Well, of course you'd have to program something extraordinary to make it work and be unpirateable. Something along the lines of you having to connect to the servers and register your CD-key to get the last bits.
I think it would bring a welcome extra motivator to the gameplay. Then we could have an achievement where you have to get 2 "Revenge" in one game on the same player. Would be epic! DOMINATING! :)
I have no problem with the fact that he can shoot from his base. He's a sniper, and snipe doesn't do THAT much damage. 1020 is my max (that I've seen; you can't see the damage it makes when the enemy teleports and then gets hit :P ). I just find it weird. The shot/spell should simply be disrupted. Or someone should just come in here, say it's WAI and let us get used to a new gameplay-style

If I can just have that, you can hold all other fixes IMO [e digicons][/e]
You see an enemy player with 200HP teleporting home. Initiate "Snipe" and wait for it. The enemy teleports to his shop, but instead of disrupting my shot when the enemy is gone, Regulus shoots the arrow, which promptly changes direction towards the enemy base, and "BAM!", Regulus dominates another sad being.
Exactly. I just hate to spend 3-4 minutes DPS'ing my ass off, and not get anything from it
If you quit DOTA because of the gfx I am willing to bet you were never very good at the game. You don't quit a game with perfect gameplay because of gfx unless you are terrible at it.
After 6 years of it? Yes you do. Plus, the GUI for DotA is so...last millenium. Demigod ROCKS! Pay GPG the $40 and be happy! Man, with all the fixes, hopefully an upcoming moddingtool package, the endless possibilities...for $40?! Come on
Let Towers level up themselves for killing mobs and DGs.
That might be a good way to do it. I just think there should be some reward for destroying towers. Maybe just for having killing shot or something. Any extra gameplay is welcome imo
Maybe a sort of experience bonus for killing a tower? A poor ranger with scope upgrade to take out towers gets no exp at all. Just a thought
First off I gotta say, I love the announcers. Especially Christopher Lee! You guys did a terrific job. It would be cool to see an announcer-gamemechanic, so when a player kills the same enemy twice, without dying, that player is dominating that enemy player, becoming this enemy's nemesis. He can then get "Revenge!" on his nemesis. Would be cool if it had a small added exp-bonus for the kill. Also there would be new achievements right there! Then on-screen it should say somethi
