Here's the deal. Like it or not, this is a game which requires tight team work to beat others that are also utilizing it. This means someone will have to lead and order the heroes around such as when to defend, to chase, etc. Someone has to do it. If you're not going to take charge, then don't complain when the other person does. I hope this doesn't sound arrogant but I *was* a top ranked player in random 3v3 team in Warcraft 3. As you play tons of game

I keep seeing things like "forward ports 6000-6200" or "6100-6200" or such. Why so many ports? If you open up the ImpulseReactorOptions.exe and set the ports you're going to use it only needs a range of 20. (I currently have it set to use 6122-6142 and am forwarding those ports) I have a second computer hooked to my router which I use to play on battle.net or other places that use 6112-6119, which I have being forwarded to that computer. What is so importa

But they SHOULD.
A perfect example is Torchbearer, who needs to stop to attack in fire form, but can attack on the run in frost form.
I actually think this is a bug. He's the only one that can't.
Second of all, if no characters could attack on the run then you could almost always escape from any fight.
Any *1v1* fight against someone that does not have slowing abilities, of which many people do. I wouldn't have a problem with that.
Bugged out, double posted.
Like wich ones?, tell me one of sednas skills that are rarely used.
Yetis. They're pretty bad.
So, what you're saying is that you want every Demigod to be exactly the same, but with reskinned skills?
Not at all. They need to have every ability viable independent of the other ones. Synergy is fine as long as it doesn't guarantee one ability is always chosen regardless of your build. All the abilities should
They're already said many times they're going to take away the AIs from being matched with more experienced players, but they'll keep them for the newbies.
You misunderstand. People are getting matched against AI people from the START OF THE GAME. That needs to stop immediately for obvious reasons. The AI in the games also SUCKS. It should either be improved drastically, some kind of mediation be put into the game to nullify the effects of the
dosent mean its overpower its just means that its a critical skill, a skill good enough to be in every build, its the same with healing wind and pounce, those are critical sedna skills
It doesn't mean they are overpowered but it definitely means they are not BALANCED, if you have to get the "critical" skills. The skills that are not critical are thus rarely used. That's not internally balanced. Not at all.
rook boulder roll + hammer sl
All AIs are fatally flawed. They do not respect towers at all. They do not respect the extreme damage difference when 2 heroes are attacking them at once. They never run away unless their health is low, despite the fact that multiple heroes with stuns and slows are bearing down on them. They never use their abilities to help escape, it's always the easily interrupted teleport scroll. They squander their money on the crappy citadel upgrades. They feed.&nbs
The actual problem is not necessarily the speed - it is the fact that you can attack WHILE MOVING. This is fantastically broken. They will be continuously wailing on you for as long as you can run and there is literally no escape. They don't even need to be faster, they can chain attack you while moving at the SAME SPEED. You should need to be stationary while attacking. Now same speed heroes get one shot on a fleeing target. Chasing someone result
Sedna revolves around healing dosent matter what she does, her main skill is heal, dosent matter the build she needs to get heal, same for erebus, and yes ive seen rooks not using towers, yes ive seen a lot of reg not go mines.
Yes, that's the point. With heroes supposedly having multiple ability builds a hero "revolving around" one is not balanced. You may have seen Rooks not using towers or Reg not go mine
The worst is when you go to buy the Swift Anklet and realize with horror that Favor Points have decided to bug out on you this game! Mwahahaha you have 0 favor now. And the enemy's favor points didn't bug out. And now he has a Swift Anklet and you'll never escape him. gg
I can't see how the game is balanced if each hero has abilities that you get EACH AND EVERY GAME. True all these broken abilities might cancel each other out when these heroes meet each other in multiplayer, but have you seen a single Rook not get tower? A single Regulus not get mines? A single Erebus not get bite? A single Sedna not get heal? These heroes are not balanced among themselves. When you have full choice in build viability then you can say t
As it is now, it is not worth playing the moment someone quits on your team. The AI will feed and feed and you have no hope of a comeback. I have NEVER won in which someone on my team has quit. Don't suffer through a garbage game. After someone quits, you shouldn't feel bad about leaving as well.
I completely agree about this point. Exactly one hero in dota could outrange towers (and not at night!), had to be at least level 5 to do it and this was a BIG deal. Regulus can outrange towers at level 2. This is outrageous. In fact, I'm surprised that many abilities (looking at you Torchbearer) work on buildings. I think it's a bad precedent.
You could use the mouse and right click on the ground to move away from the Unclean Beast. Have you tried that? Why would you just instantly teleport when you know he's just going to interrupt you? You let him walk right up to you when you teleport because it requires you to be stationary. This is like....common sense.
I agree. I don't care about my % I only care about whether I have enough mana to cast a spell or enough life to live through that 800 damage nuke.
Would be really nice. I have no idea how much damage any of the creeps have.
If your GF kills your Demigod, and they are the smiter, does that make you smitten? *rimshot*
Armor doesn't apply to ability damage, right? Take health over armor early game, every time.
You can find larger games in custom
Yes, however this topic is talking about random skirmish and pantheon games.
I've also never gotten more than a 2v2. It's extremely disappointing. You should be able to choose what player limit you're looking for (like Warcraft 3). Or choose multiple things (interested in 2v2/3v3/4v4)
In the "professional" gaming world, when a player knows he will lose he is expected to quit so as to avoid wasting any more time on a game that has already been decided. Some games encourage this heavily. Bara
I hate this mentality. I have won games that were "surely" lost. I don't tip my King when I go down a Knight either.
