she's better than before if you don't take entourage. but if you do take entourage, the numeric buff is a joke. i wonder if the improvements to the shamblers' combat routine is helping her become competetive. uuuuhhhhhhh ........ i guess i'm the wrong one to ask ... i barely ever get "involved" in a game. The last science fiction themed games that really drew me in were the story mode of StarCraft and the All-Time-Favorite Star Control II. Armada has about as much "soul" as MoO2 - which, in my books, means not much.

glad it turned out ok for you. :) try a custom 1000x1000 map with the maximum number of ai players (104, i think) and standard settings. I wonder how many turns you can play before the game finally slows down for you. my machine needs a bit for processing the 100 computer players on a 13.000 systems map. About 20 seconds in the first few turns and a memory requirement of nearly 1 gig.

sorry, but like i said, it's your system configuration that has problems with 2526. maybe that weird engine they use doesn't work well with xeons or whatever. i just can confirm that the game runs very fast on a system far below yours. and yeah, the real-time 3d battles of armada really can't compare to sins ... but then, the whole focus of sins is on the battles, while the focus of armada is on the empire building, i.e. the galactic map. armada is closer to the tradit
