I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Skirmish needs more choice! I want to play a ranked 3v3, but I have yet to due to the NAT issues on Stardock's end and the preference of the match making system to go either 2v2 or 2v1 (3 games like this.... I was the 1). Impulse is pretty obviously trying to be the next steam. It has some of the nice features of steam, including D2D, friend's list, freeware, and what have you. Dude, that map is TIGHT. Though, the game is kinda over once you push PAST the crossroads of XP flag and main path. I was Forces of Darkness (Unclean and Torch Bearer) fighting the Rook and Regulous, and we won. It isn't one sided. SO, we accumulate Favor Points every match. Once we accumulate enough, we can purchase items. Once we purchase an item, we cannot exchange it the entire game but- is it supposed to happen that we are supposed to keep the items for the entire singular game or the item becomes bound to the Demigod on the account and can never be exchanged?

Easy way to tell if there IS life in your game is to open the scoreboard (TAB) and see your ping to everyone. But, yea, i got matched up 3v3 with all AI computers and 2v2 with all AI computers. Oddly enough, i was in a 4v3 match, with the 4th guy being an AI computer. I generally leave those games because, if i wanted to play against AI, i'd have played singleplayer!
