CelMare makes the most important point of all here. The community has shrunken down way too far to ever be brought back up again. When gamers decide to can a game and move on to another one, they usually make that decision for good. And it's true, the core game really needs to be fixed before they add all these shiny new additions. These seem to be a desperate attempt to boost the numbers up a little bit. In reality, the game might float on air for a little while

I wasn't actually being serious with the post, and no I'm not a "histrionic emo" lol. In 1.2, they might have fixed the desync bug, but did they fix the bug where the game crashes for one person which usually triggers the invalid gamestate error? Inerz that was pro.
I recently reinstalled Demigod to give it another shot, I just love the game. The core of it is an amazing idea disregarding all the bugs/imbalances/etc... Game 1 - totally balanced 3v3 cataract game. very good players, at about level 12, bam, one guy crashes, 10 second gamestate error exit... Fuck this I uninstall. Now, like a girlfriend coming crying back after you dumped her... I reinstalled again. Game 2 - Great 3v3 cata game, get to war rank 10
This thread is full of noobshit fail. Erebus is the top Demigod in game, he is OP. I can't believe the guy arguing that QoT is just as good as Erebus. Give me a break.
I don't see why not... I know that with my motherboard it is possible. When I boot, I can bring up the boot menu, select which hard drive to boot, and then if there's more than one OS on that drive it let's me select which one. It would work on mine, should work on yours.
Oh yea, it's probably much much higher seeing it was released mid april.
Sorry I have a different definition of dead, which isn't really valid since dead means that no one is playing it. It leveled out at 100-150 for October, but at those numbers that's not saying much. However, when looking at the numbers when the game was released, I guess it really isn't dead at all. I mean, the game started out with an average of 500, so it's definitely done it's expected drop to get where the numbers want to be. For some reason I thought that the numbe
Oh wow cool, where did you get that graph? I mean, by leveling out at 100-150 players, that's actually very dead to be honest. Compared to a game like HoN, while even in closed free beta, usually seems to have between 20,000 to 30,000 players. You could make the argument that it's just a very unpopular game and in the community it has it isn't dead, but even going from 200-100 average from August to October, that alone is a 50% decrease in numbers. That's huge.

However, I think that actually all players are counted that are logged into their Impulse Account via one way or another (possibly even through the forum alone; for example I was shown as online in Ready to Play today, even though Ready to Play was not running and I was only logged in to my Impulse Account via the foru
I can't figure out how, for example, right now, there are 2,405 players online in Demigod right now. When I add up the figures on the opengames.asp page... (http://www.demigodthegame.com/opengames.asp) here's what I get... Open Games: 10 total players sitting in lobbies at the moment Games In Progres: 109 total players in games. That's a grand total of 119 players currently online either sitting in a lobby or playing a game. I

I can't even find a single server with more than 3 people playing CTF anymore, or even DM for that matter. I use to be able to get on and do some incredible 5v5 CTF on Omnicron Dawn/Reflection. Even with all the free weekends they had for it on Steam, no one bit for the game. It's sad, considering that in my opinion it's the best unreal to

I actually have a similar experience with a game/community. The game was Battlefield Vietnam. And what a game and community it had in high levels of play. It went through 3 very strong competitive CAL seasons and a 4th pretty good one. For about 2 years I'd say after it's release the TWL ladders/leagues were hopping and the very pro CAL teams were hoppin. I started a team first season of CAL with a few friends and we tried to find good players to join i
Cool, replays. Where's that team support/ladder system that got dropped from the 1.2 notes?
[quote who="ZehDon" reply="13" id="2356005"]The problem with these statistics is it's only really an indication of which Demigods are easiest to play well or popular; the easier the Demigod, the more players will play them, the higher their ratio. LE is sitting nicely on the top because of the Horn exploit that existed, however I've still seen QoT in proper hands dominate a game - she's just really difficult to play well. UB requires very little time to learn, and Sedna has the wonderful
Sounded like it was a great idea, and can all the people on the first page of this topic just shut their fucking mouths and eat a dick? This guy was trying to get something great going that isn't and should be in the game... a basic ladder/tournament type system for teams. Unfortunately, this was promised in like May, then pushed back to 1.2, which was supposed to be released in August, it's now halfway through October and we're on 1.19 still, and
I need a partner for the demigod tourney this week...
