I find this to be more of the exception than the rule; Halo 3, Gears of War, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico - these are some of the big names of the last few years, and I finished all of them in less than 6 hours.
The thing about Shadow of the Colossus and Ico is that they were more created for people with Lit majors (like the friend that introduced me to them) than anyone else, who may or may not be into gaming. As such, the challenge was low and the game lasted just long

Even Stardock sounds like a space station for that matter!
Can you imagine hammer smashing people in a Holodeck? It would be so awesome, but you'd probably break your back after the first game.

As ZehDon said. If you're familiar with DotA, Oak functions very much like the late game heroes, such as Mortred, Troll Warrior, and Ursa, while Erebus is much more like Priestess of the Moon. Essentially, Oak becomes very powerful in lategame almost automatically, whereas Erebus can only carry in lategame if he's earned himself lots and lots of gold. Furthermore, for various reasons, Oak is sometimes considered a "counter" to Erebus, so it's not necessarily that he simply destroys ev

I've tried not hitting the AI at all for the entire match. Every time I've done it, my team still won by a long shot because the other team was down a man and the AI would kamikaze charge a push or tower and get hit by someone's splash damage for free assist gold. I've killed the damned things on accident before because they wouldn't run and got killed by my trebuchet as rook. So I don't think avoiding hunting the AI is an actual option. I say if the other team asks you politely not to hunt t

You need to tab through your favor items the same way you would with an item shop. If you have trouble finding it, I recommend playing single player for 5 minutes so that you can locate it with ease without feeling rushed by your comrades :)

Hello! It sounds like you either have A. the ping spikes glitch, detailed on the forums here (but with no known fix), or B. the Mystery Lag glitch, which we don't have many details on because, well, it's a mystery. You could differentiate between the two by noting whether or not your ping spikes to high numbers when your game stutters. If it doesn't, it's either you

Most likely the the intent was to simply prevent chain stunning a-la-DotA, where a common cause of death is losing control of your character for 6+ seconds. However, it seems to me that the cause of this glitch is the game's method of preventing stuns. The character is immune to the second stun, so stun effects are stripped off that character, including the first stun.
not talking about erebus, but i don't think you can do this with cloack of night and/or warpstone. their distance is to low. erebus needs bat swarm level 2 wich has greater distance. well, i didn't tried it so i'm just guessing.
It is possible, but you have to get right up to the ledge at the smallest part of the gap, and then aim just for the very ledge of the other side.

Right, so to the OP, a way to combat this. When facing an Erebus on prison, by level 5 you and your partner need to be carrying TP scrolls and locks with you whenever possible. CotN or a warpstone will help, but are not strictly necessary. The catch to Erebus swarming over to your flag is that he's just exhausted his best escape skill, and provided you can solo (or double team) him, he basically needs a warpstone, TP scroll, or Cloak of the Night in order to get away. If he teleports

Playground, I read all the posts from start to finish, and I don't think ZehDon was trying to be condescending at all, right up until you called him out. Rather, it appears as if you've misread his post according to your personal opinion of his character. The underlined quote,
This has been mentioned before in several dedicated topics.
does not appear [to me] to be snide, but rather addresses the fact that more information and debate on the subject can be found through a deeper
I would add the following to the OP's idea : when a DG gets killed, he loses all his artifacts (he gets a full refund, but his artifacts are back to the shop).
This would be interesting, but would result in both teams attempting to perma-lock the artifact shop. Depending on who you ask in the community, this is or is not a good thing.

Agreed, videogames are much more violent than the majority of movies, books, etc. out there. However, once in a blue moon violence in a game serves an actual point (as an example, No More Heroes). However, there are a number of film and book genres that can easily compete (and surpass) the violence in videogames, most notably the infamous slasher movie. So the question in my opinion is, "Would you let your kid watch Kill Bill?" If not, he probably shouldn't be playing GTA. But for the rest of

Eh, it could work I guess. But ultimately I think it would just hurt people whose teammates fed even more. The first person to kill 4 or 5 people gets Mageslayer, and then you have no ability to get it yourself? A bit of an addition to the already frustrating slippery slope that is Demigod's balance.
A good point Melon, however it's the interactive nature of Video games that divide them. I can certainly understand the argument against them, however in a country where we're supposed to have all of this freedom, why is content being banned outright rather than simply contained via an expanded ratings system?
Right, the young and impressionable really shouldn't play such games. But the actions taken here indicate that someone on the

Ahh, I stand corrected. According to the chart, archer towers do not have range over that of light towers. +1 for setting us all straight with some real data! [e digicons]k1[/e]
