I think what alot of you folks are forgeting is that this particular type of game doesn't need to be graphically impressive. Alot of the wowwee details are lost in demigod because you're zooming you camera around. That being said, I do prefer the camera and speed in demigod. The item shop and hero selection is better in HoN. HoN has a steeper learning curve becuase of XP/Gold denies imho. I don't care about the communities here or there cuz I usually only play with friends. I love bot
We're free to talk about the game now.
Well in that case... HoN chat/friend lists are above and beyond better, the stress test weekend seemed to go off flawlessly, Demigod is in serious trouble. I don't care what all the Dota haters have to say, I love both games but facts are facts. Demigod needs more free content now, if it ever hopes to stand a chance of lasting. -edit- S

Don't care. Rankings don't make the actual game more fun, strategic, deeper, challenging or rewarding for me. I'm #1 in the world, whoopie. My epeen is little and I'm fine with that.
At that rate, doubling the number of demigods in our arsenal would more than double the price of the original game even.
Not to mention it would take at least 10months after the first 2 demigods are released to have a total of 20 demigods. That's if they stay on schedule. GPG needs to green light Frogboy's suggestions and the community needs those mods tools now if this game is going to remain competitive and in

After the release of the two free Demigods: 4 Demigods released every 60 Days Free for the 1st 12. Then I might be willing to pay for an xpac after that... maybe. There was a time there when I would have jumped on any content like a ravenous dog. Truth is, after seeing LoL's roster, the variety in this game is severely lacking. I have 10 friends who currently own this game, and I could probably bug a few more to pick up this game and join us, but what for? So you can c

As someone else pointed out in the replies, these seem to only count physical sales as we would see more from steam on that list. Regardless, I'm glad Demigod is getting the recognition it deserves. So far I've managed to get 10 of my friends on this game, and with the annoucment of community modding being added summer (patch 1.2), I can now go ahead and confidently push the rest of my friends to pick this game up. See Frogboy, no need to worry. Go ahead and green light
there's nothing wrong with the actual game. The problem is skill levels. This should be addressed not crazy tower upgrades and weird buffs.
I agree for the most part. There isn't anything wrong with the game, comebacks are possible but there also isn't anything wrong with having the option to add handicaps should you want to give one to your friends :)

Just got another idea. How about adding a purchaseable wave for 1 turn? This gives the advantage to the team closest to their citadel. If your a demigod making the push, it behoves you to continue making that push, but if your backed into your corner, being able to buy an extra wave might help. ie. Creeps come out every 10seconds. So it's 10-10-10-10-10 Buying an extra wave for one turn would effect timing like this: 10-5-5-10-10-10 Price is affected by

How about a "revenge" buff? Call it, Out for Blood . How it works. Rook kills UB aided by Sedna. For 1 min (after respawning), UB gains a 50% damage increase against Rook and 25% against Sedna. If Rook kills UB again, damage for UB is increased 100% for 1.5min. A third and final time up to 150% for 2mins. The buff is instantly is removed if revenge is achieved at any point. Obviously this buff only works against the demigod/s who killed you. It would also force a retre
Well based on what I read here it sounds like there's little point in expending more resources on this game and we should all just move on. Is that what I'm hearing here? I mean, if people are ready to move on, why should we hang around? We can certainly oblige with another patch or two to make sure MP works as it should have on day 1 IMO but beyond that? GPG's working on SupCom 2. Stardock has Elemental. &nbsp

I use two monitors (on the same video card) so I imagine that's the reason why 7600 comes up twice. I could try removing one of my monitors later. That is the latest sound driver. I'd be willing to accept that I might need a new sound card except that disabling sound from the game and disabling sound from my computer still bought up the same crashes. Thanks for the input. ---edit--- Actually since most seem to think

Releasing this game w/o a map editor was a huge mistake. It would have given some folks something to play with while the online kinks were worked out. Releasing this game with only 8 demigods was another mistake. Variety is the spice of life and while Dota has many years to build their category, this type of game just isn't deep enough not to have released with double the number of demigods. The longer they take to give the community the tools to allow us to mod, the greater the risk
