For the moment, the nuke uses the impact visuals from the Ogrov's torpedoes. It looks okay, but I would prefer a bigger 'splosion as well [e digicons][/e]

Thanks for linking that vid, Hendrix. That site is awesome, I just spent like 6 hours listening to podcasts, lol.
Yeah, ships get ripped apart with the VE mod, but it's just not pretty enough, lol. Every other weapon in the game has a hit effect, like autocannons, missiles, plasma, etc. Turbolasers don't. Maybe you can make them use a smaller version of the turbolaser impact from the XQ1's weapons? If you look at them in the show, turbolasers don't just scorch something when they hit, they freakin' EXPLODE. I think it would look pretty cool, and the effect is already there, you'd ju
Personally, I'd like to see the 3 vanilla races fighting against the BSG races. My favorite part of the Requiem mod is that I can blow away TEC or Vasari or Advent under a hail of turbolasers [e digicons][/e] It would be fun to have the same as the Colonials or Cylons.
400 planets?! [e digicons]:(O[/e] Awesome and terrifying.
Just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you're doing! If people ain't happy about the size of a ship or something like that, screw 'em, mods are a gradual process. Also, Star Trek 'canon' is nearly impossible to define, as it contradicts itself at every available opportunity. What constitutes a ship's ability is really just at the mercy of the Plot Device Of The Week , which is in turn at the mercy of a bunch of former soap o
I love the XQ model, and the weapon effects from the defense turrets mounted on it. Looks fantastic! Btw, Jason, is there any way to get every turbolaser/blaster shot to have a hit effect? Because, as it stands, non-starbase Star Wars energy weapons don't have a hit effect in the mod. Makes the absolute hail of turbolaser shots seem less awesome. Also, I'm assuming this is in the next patch, but is there any plans to change the Golan's turbolaser fire to green instead of
MercenaryMuffin... turret is now fixed for 2.5
Jubilations!
Mercenary Muffin, why get all worked up over this? I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you get emotionally attached to any prospective new game or expansion these days since 95% of what's released is junk (and now-a-days, often consolized, watered-down junk). Even sequels to proven, successful games get FUBARred. The expansion will be finished when it's finished and it might be worthwhile or it might just be poor kitsch. In the
Oh, and PLEASE fix the word "turrent". It's TURRET, not TURRENT. That just bugs me [e digicons]>_>[/e]
Okay, I'm a few weeks late on this topic, but the situation still stands...devs are terrible at communicating with us. Look at the "Sins Developer Journals" section. Notice the last date anything was posted? Yeah, that's right...MARCH 4TH. March. Fraking. Fourth That means that in five months no one has even considered talking about what they're doing. Not a screenshot, or a video, or a dev blog. Nothing. We have been kept out in the cold, for
Having had more experience with Sins by now, I stand by my claim that the Kol feels the most like a 'true' battleship. Lots of guns, and JUST. WON'T. DIE. unless you have drained its AM. I should have clarified back when I made my first post, I said the other ships feel more like Dreadnaughts. I meant they feel more like the Dreadnaughts in the game, i.e. most of their firepower facing forward, as opposed to full 360 arcs of fire.

There should be a patch that allows both mods to be run together. Plus I merged Requium with CB over a month ago, before 1.03 came out. I just never posted it because neither was my mod to begin with. I won't post it or send it to anyone unles
How's the Celestial Bodies thing coming along, my good man? Been waiting for that one [e digicons][/e]
By the way, would there be any way to get your mod to work with some of the mods like Celestial Bodies? Because stock planets are kinda boring.
I thought of something that should be simple to do, and would add some immersion. How about when the Cylons jump to another planet, you have the Hybrid say "JUMP!" from the show. I would personally set it to the louder one from when the Basestar was chasing the Cavel fleet, but you could use the whispered version too.
Hmm...yeah, it was just hard to hear, I guess. Weird. You could always use skinjobs for Cylon voices. That would probably work.
Love the new release, everything I was gonna say has already been covered. New Cylons are awesome, Colonials still have problems with shiny ships, and I really wish we had authentic voices, especially for the Galactica. It makes me sad to not hear Adama [e digicons]:'([/e]
Out of curiosity, what does deleting the pipeline effects folder do?
*yells incoherently* I love this mod, I really do. But I can't play more than 5 minutes without an error crashing the game [e digicons]:'([/e]
Hey Jason, is there any way to get the Celestial Bodies mod to work with yours? The only thing better than laying waste to rebel scum as the Empire is doing so while colonizing awesome looking planets.
Just played the mod for the first time. The minimalist hud takes some getting used to, but everything's pretty good. But please, for the love of god, it's TURRET, not turrent. Please fix this in the next iteration!
I don't quite have the mod yet (gotta get the expansion this weekend), but someone PLEASE tell me that one of the Imperial Cap Ships (preferably a Star Destroyer variant) has a "Base Delta Zero" ability!
True, but when I think "Battleship" I think lots of armor and lots of guns. Kol is the only one that really fits that
As a newbie to Sins, and after having just finished playing around with each race, I have to say the Kol is my pick. Love that ship. 360 degree firing arc, crazy amounts of hull and armor, and it has frickin' laser beams in addition to the autocannons and missiles. Seems like the only "true" battleship of the bunch, the others all feel more like Dreadnaughts.
