I also agree completely with SwerydAss.

Now that Diplomacy 1.011 is out, don't we need another file for your Mod Converter to work, Harpo? At least, it doesn't work as-is when trying to update a MOD from Diplomacy 1.01 to 1.011.
First of all, EPIC video of the TEC vs. TEC Starbase. Now, I was wondering if I could ask a silly question. I was interested in playing with the planet bombing effects (just for personal fun, my modding life is like a raiders outpost). What files do I need from this mod to use them?
Can we get a screenshot of the pole pinch problem?
Huh. Maybe I'll just play with Economist and Fortifier then. But are you sure that it had nothing to do with my playing with Small fleets? Cause in the game I played where I did get envoys I had it on Normal fleets.
So, is this mod only for 64 bit systems? Or does it improve performance for any system?
Thanks!
I just wondered if, like a hard drive, having the "sectors defragmented" in the galaxy map makes a differnce as well--particularly with large changes. In essence, is it better to rebuild a heavily edited map?
Oh! Well I'm not sure, but I would assume that it makes no difference. Of course, you could be entirely sure by "defragmenting" it.
Great response and to the point. Kudos sir!
No problem!
Ah. I was doing an FFA with 3 players; me, a researcher Advent, and aggressor Vasari. All in their own star systems. No envoys from either. However, they did immediately go to war with each other, and I did have small fleets settings...
Ever see "The Mist"? That's what happens when you mess with phase space. They opened the door to Cthulhu's realm. It's all over for them now.
Well, better Azathoth's realm. Cthulhu is on Earth. Ia! Ia! [e digicons];P[/e]
Stargate SG-1's Replicators all over again, eh? Or, maybe they created some ungodly biological entity ala the Homeworld series? I know the latter is one of the inspirations for the Advent.
<p
Thanks. I'm getting a super-cool "...encountered and error and needs to close..." box, though... [e digicons]>_>[/e]
Bump. Any clue about this?
I enjoy making maps too, I'll answer your questions best I can: From my experience, the plasma storm particle doesn't run unless you zoom in to look at it. Models, from what I can tell, don't render unless you're zoomed in close enough to see them instead of just the icons. The simple number of stars and planets DO increase processor needs. Pirate bases, doubly so. I don't know what you mean there.</str
I used to play online, but once I started getting booted/completely obliterated by the Sins online multiplayer elite, and couldn't find a single place where there wasn't some sort of stupid argument going on, I went back to single player.
What would need to be done to modify the nuclear explosions from bombing planets so that they are smaller? They are a bit large as it is.
You know how we can name capital ships? Is there a way to make a mod that allows naming of frigates and cruisers? That would be fun.
So, the Lore never tells us, but I think I know what's chasing the Vasari. For those of you who bought Sins at the store, take a look at the back of the box. It says at the top: "Assume ultimate control over one of three galactic powers: an ancient alien civilization running from a terror of their own creation, a loose coalition of traders forced to annex their own people or an exiled empire of powerful psionics bent on revenge. Will you lead them to salvation or condemn t
Oh. That makes sense. Though, the Reasearcher AI is doing the same thing... no envoys from them either.
I like the Jump Drive Relic, myself. Gives a real edge in system-to-system warfare. I think, however, that there should be more simple planet bonuses. Those are great fun!
I mean WHAT IS THE DEAL? How dare those alien scum not take me seriously enough to bother sending envoys. The nerve! The audacity! THE UNMITIGATED GAUL! [e digicons]:P[/e]
I strongly disagree with wbino. Diplomacy is a great expansion that needs work.
Wrong! Congratulations sir, your forces are so awesome that they are making time in the Sins universe slow down. Apparently, you've won!
It did before with just a Cease Fire, now even with a peace treaty, none at all. I even have 20.00 relationship with one of them!
Yep, that's me too!
I say! How uncivilized. Now hear this! dispatch imperial strikcraft forces. Don't let a single one of those scum escape! [e digicons]:P[/e]
