Yeah, they are a pain to micromanage. It's kinda goofy how a rival empire will respect your diplomatic immunity for 30 seconds, then open fire for 120 for the cooldown, then respect for 30 seconds... over and over and over...

Oh my.
Um... yeah... I just finished playing a game where I had 4 TEC allies and me (TEC) vs. 1 Vasari on Vicious. I got a "Diplomatic Victory", but I don't see how it's much of a victory, because the Vasari were still aggressive and now I couldn't do anything with my allies.

Well that sucks. You should be able to demand resources regardless.
Ah! Thanks for the info! [e digicons];P[/e]
As nice as it maybe, it just aint gonna happen. I can not speak of the horrors riping the mod apart into mini mod would create. If you want a taste of it go back some pages ago and look at the nightmare just having Powerful Pirates and Dynamic Movement had/have created. We had some ideas for more mini mods but all that/this confusion on how to work the current mini mods have left a rather nasty taste in out mouth.
Un

Perhaps TohKlidan will update it for Diplomacy?
Also I was wondering if you could offer the mini mods as seperate downloads so that in the future we can choose what we want active or not? 'Cause the custom pictures get me a bit confused when I play diplomacy and look at that window. You do not have to use the Mini Mods. Its why they are already seperate. And in the extra folder.
Well, he means some of the main mods. Like the fact that you can't
Ah, I see! Oh what's Dev.exe? [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
When I look at a mod's files, I see GameInfo folder, Texture folder, etc, and the manifest files for them. A mod for Diplomacy doesn't seem much different from that for Entrenchment, at first glance. All the same sort of stuff. Why then, do mods not work across expansions? What is the difference? Is it the String files or something?
Anthony, you mean you installed the mod and you turned on your game and the mod isn't working? YOUR COMPUTER IS HAUNTED BY THE GHOST OF VANILLA-SINS! Nah just kidding. You need to go to Options > Mods and activate the mod.
Oh, I see. Well, I have CovertData_Diplomacy0.85, in the same folder as "sinstextbinner", and I opened the sinstextbinner program and went to the GameInfo folder of Distant Stars (which is on my desktop) and I get this error: convertdata not found for the expansion chosen. looked for convertdata?originalsins.exe here, and did not find it. please copy it into this location What's the matter?
What program did you guys use to turn the entity files into "bin"? I want to modify them.
I think it would be really neat if you guys released the mod in separate packages; one for planets, one for ship changes, one for sound... and then whichever parts each person wants can be put together or kept apart. Because not everyone wants to have the crazy lagtastical (at least, on our computers) effects with the planets.
Hey, I wanna complement the team of this mod on their "Origin Defense" thing. I like that. Really makes for great last-stands.
Cool! Thanks a bunch. Could you help me out with a few mod mods? :P First thing is that the capital ship factory has a... new sort of texture: Is it supposed to? Kinda funky looking, so I wasn't sure if that was mean to be that way. Regardless, I was wanting to remove it so the game will revert to the default version, but can't seem to locate its t
Is there a GalaxyScenarioDef file for Distant Stars?
the mod laggs badly in Diplomacy, nonetheless its a good mod. the lagg is probably due to the fact that its graphic settings are a bit high tho lol
Does anybody else experience said lagging?
Oh dear. How much work would need to be done?
Ah, easier than I expected! [e digicons]:dur:[/e] But wait... when I open the planet entity files in Notepad (such as the one for PlanetToxic) I get this sort of thing:
E €TD ¯C úB B €»E @ƒD € D HC ÈB F V o l c a n i c Ãõh?š™>…+?ÍÌÌ>ÍÌL?ÍÌÌ>ÍÌ ?š™?ìQ8?ÍÌL?
This mod is really cool! If I want to use just the planets from Distant Stars and merge them with the ones from Celestial Bodies, what do I have to do?
Is there gonna be any way to use this mod with Diplomacy?
Very cool! Wait, so you can only mod light purple?
